We will be cruising on Carnival Victory just like you did...we invited our guest to join us...we don't think many will but is in an option for them
  2. PR Bride here!!! I'm planning on taking a cruise from PR after the wedding. Things are a little confusing right now so I wanted to know if anyone is planning a Sunrise Ceremony with a Wedding Brunch...that's what I'm planning and need some help!
  3. I plan on getting married on the island prior to setting sail.
  4. You may want to try the Historic Oakland in Columbia. I did a wedding there (as a wedding planner) two years ago and the couple had a 15K budget and another friend of mine is using the same place...
  5. I say go ahead and choose a resort now the rest will fall into place...I started planning a tradional wedding after we got enganged for about 2 years out...then we switched gears after about 6 weeks of planning to do a DW in 1 year...
  6. I'm planning to do a welcome party the day before the wedding for my guests as an initial thank you for coming to our wedding celebration.
  7. My wedding is July 2010 and I sent my invites out last week. We are planning a cruise and I wanted to make sure that all guest had more than enough notice so they can save for the wedding. I will send out a newsletter periodically.
  8. Now you ladies have me scared...LOL I sent my invites out this past Saturday...so I guess I'm just waiting for all the questions to start
  9. That is awesome...now you've got my mind racing and thinking about making another monogram for myself!

I think it would be nice to know who plans on attending, but the guests will need to make thier own travel arrangements through the TA... and I don't want them to have too much to do - I don't want them to think that ONLY sending an RSVP to me will be good enough, and I don't want them to only book through the TA as then I'm not sure if I'll know who is coming... Maybe I'm just being an idiot. 2nd question: Any ideas on making all the different invites/RSVPS/etc. match?? The message in a bottle has sand, seashells, and (currently) little beach umbrellas, but I might remove the umbrellas. The invites themsleves (although not set in stone yet - I'm trying out a couple ideas) will probably be tea stained with burned edges - or maybe be parchment paper that is just aged looking. I'd like everything to at least co-ordinate... There are some really clever ideas on the DIY forum, but they tend to focus just on the MIB or just the style of other invites... and I really want everything to coordinate. 3rd question: Is it too early to be thinking of all this stuff when I haven't even picked a location/colors or anything yet?? lol.... I really want to make the invites and get them sent, although I may be jumping the gun a little... Thanks for all your thoughts!! Quest 1: I did a passport booklet for my invitations and included an RSVP. We are doing a cruise but getting married in PR and my guests have the option of attending the wedding and the cruise. To limit confusion I asked for an RSVP and put all of the travel arrangement information within the booklet. I say the more information you gift your guests the better. Quest 2: I don't know what style of wedding you plan on having bet it dressy or casual but since you are using the message in a bottle maybe a pirate type of theme if you are going the casual route. Quest 3: NOPE not at all. At least you will have some sort of direction to go in once you choose your colors.
  11. How did you wear your hair or how are you going to wear your hair?? I'm not sure what to do with mine. Thanks

  13. For my thank you notes I put a wedding photo on a boarding pass and then write a personal note on the back. I want to stick with the whole destination wedding theme since I'm using a passport for the invite.
