  2. I'm taking a Carnival Cruise after my wedding. Initially I was going to use Carnival Wedding services, but after researching furhter I realized that wasn't the type of wedding that I wanted especially since may guests will not be setting sail with us. Therefore we are getting married in PR the morning of embarkation.
  3. Well my bridal party is limited to MOH, BM, flower girl/jr bridesmaid and ring bearer. I'll ask her what she wants to be called on the program.
  4. does a flower girl become a Jr. Bridesmaid My FI has an 8 year old daughter and I'm not sure if she would be considered a flower girl? Help?
  5. Thanks ladies, I've been searching for nice long earrings...at least this is one less item for me to purchase...and the price was awesome for the set...
  6. I have locs as well and right now I'll probably get them cornrowed and let them out the day of my wedding for a nice wavy effect. I would love to have them in a bun but I doubt PR has locticians...
  7. I'm in love with Etsy now...LOL As you all can see my wedding colors are purple and yellow. While on Etsy I saw this jewelry set and purchased it immediately!!!! Depending on the type of dress I get I just wear the earring and bracelet for the wedding...only time will tell. We are cruising on Royal Caribbean leaving the 20th and trying to decide if we should plan the wedding through the cruise line or on land somewhere. I think right now we are leaning towards finding a resort or planner who can help up plan something the 19th on land. We are looking to have between 40-50 people and keep everything pretty casual. Maybe a beachy wedding and then rent out a restaurant and pick up the bill. Court Thanks Court!!! And same to you!!!! I've decided not to go with Carnival and will be having my wedding through one of the hotel in PR. Not all of my guest will be cruising with us so I thought it would be best to do the "traditional" route and have a real reception. I will have a morning ceremony followed by a Luncheon reception at Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza on my embarkation date. If you want to use one of the hotels in PR I know that Conrad, El Convento (I loved this place the best!!!) and San Juan Water and Beach Club have nice rates for the ceremony and a reception for about 40-50 people... I chose Conrad because my guest will be of the younger persuasion and its a Ultra Modern hotel that I know they will enjoy. If you are a traditional type bride and love everything vintage, I would say go with El Convento, it is absolutely beautiful there!!!! And was my first choice. The San Juan Water and Beach Club it nice al well their decor seems to be primarily white and upscale... Hope this helps...
  12. I'm just going for it. I didn't bother to tell anyone what I want to do for fear of the "faces" LOL. We are going on a cruise after the wedding so I'm trying to do the TTD on one of the islands...preferably Barbados or Antigua...
  13. Okay ladies, I have a dilemma. I fell in love with El Convento but since I'm a researcher at heart I called a few other places and requested proposals from them. The prices at El Convento are reasonable, but the prices at Conrad San Juan Plaza Condado are even more reasonable and I prefer their food options. So now I'm torn, I love the ambiance of El Convento the old world feel it has to it. But Conrad is more economical. Which one should I choose?
  14. This is a scary thread...Our budget is 5-10K and I'm gonna do my best to keep it closer to 5
  15. That really is a good deal. I hope they have that deal when I'm ready to start my OOT bags.

They want alot of money for little service. I'm looking in El Convento and Condado right now. I'm waiting to hear from their WCs.
