  1. 1 per couple, singles and children get their own bags. For the single men I want to get some type of back pack.

And I would probably have the baker use the same pattern on the cake as well as make some throw pillows for the lounge area to tie everything in.

  4. Don't you just love Goodwill?!?!?!?!?! I haven't been in there in a while...I guess its time to make a trip.

I'll keep you posted once I receive my proposal.

It wouldn't be hard if you do and even if you don't you could use hemming tape (like double-sided fabric tape) to fold raw edges over. You'd need to know the diameter or width/length of the tables & buy fabric to go across them, but if you have the measurements I'm sure you could find help at any fabric store. good luck on your diy! When I was in college I lived in thrift stores. My friends and I were always cutting clothes up and sewing them into new items so I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine. I'm begininng to get excited too I may use the same material for throw pillows for the lounge area at the venue...this would tie everything together...
  8. Has anyone made their own Table Runners I want to make mine but don't know where to start
  9. Everything is progressing nicely...I've found a venue!!!!!
  10. I would say go to a department store (Macy's, Norstrom...etc) and buy a cheap white dress so you won't have to worry and save your ceremony dress for the AHR.
  11. Keep in mind that your guests are also on vacation and they may not want to to alot of things with the group. I went to a friends wedding in Barbados a few years ago and the day after the wedding her parents scheduled a tour of the island, I went, but I really would have preferred to lay out on the beach instead...
  12. Its a tough call but you have to be firm with them, give them a deadline as to when they need to respond. If they don't then just go with someone else. I've realized that by being a bride there comes a point where you may have to be cutthroat.
  13. If one more family member tells me what I should do for MY wedding I will be getting married at Sandals Antigua...my honeymoon location...LOL
  14. Thanks ladies, 2011 it is. Now I really need to find a wedding planner in PR. I have a whole new idea of how I want my wedding.
  15. Here's an update ladies: I'm currently working with my familiy members to change a family event to next year so I can have the wedding in July 2011.
  16. Awe man!!! I booked our Sandals Honeymoon last week and only got the $250 spa credit...
  17. Thanks for the list it will come in very handy!!!
  18. Well the plot now thickens, since I must cancel the room block at the hotel I now owe them about 2K as the cancellation fee, so now we are thinking about just pushing the wedding to 2012. I didn't want to wait so long to have the wedding, because I have basically planned two completely different weddings since our engagement in May...LOL Who knows how many other changes I will come up with by 2012. On the other hand, I won't have much more to do in terms of planning and we would have the opportunity to have a really nice destination wedding.

Talk to her but just be ready for ANY type of response. My best friend was supposed to be my MOH and she had the audacity to tell me that I couldn't use certain colors at my wedding because she apparently claimed them last year, but the most funniest part is she wasn't even engaged at the time...LOL She always had something negative to say anytime I asked her opinion about my wedding plans...so I turned the tables on her, when she told me she thought her BF at the time was going to propose I had a barrage of question for her and she didn't like it, actually cursed me out about it too...LOL Unfortunately, I don't take things like that lightly so I straight laid into her and we haven't spoken since... So just know that talking to a good friend can a good or a bad thing.
