  3. It's between "Feels Like Home" by randy newman or chantal kreviazuk (I like both versions) or Alison Krauss's version of "When You Say Nothing at All" Of course we considered a lot.. but I think those are the front runners right now
  4. hmm.. orig thread was from 2006 -- I love the idea... I hope the OP sees this thread and posts about it..
  5. I really love all three!! I think if I had to choose a favorite it would be #1 Does your friend design invitations for a living? if so post the site please
  6. that really is too bad... I had thought it was a great idea when I visited the cards an pocket website -- I really do thank you both for posting this because now I won't even bother trying to print my own ...
  7. those are great -- I love the black envelope, sort of unexpected but it totally works.
  8. you got a great deal! my dates are too far out and are only the 20% off that they show on the barcelo maya website.. I've reserved already but plan to cancel/rebook in the spring time...

My FI mom has already made a few comments about "is this really going to end up being less expensive then your wedding here"...you know I am not sure but it is what it is not, ya know! No suggestions really, just 20 ppl max at the a la cartes. I don't think it's unreasonable because the restaurant is open to the resort guests and if people bring in large parties then guests who have also paid for their stay would be turned away.... So if you have > 20 maybe they could do it at the buffet -- they are generally much bigger? you could then move your group to one of the lounges/bars?

  13. Ok so nobody's tried the SK-II but which foundation do you gals recommend for medium coverage, and that will look good in a photo?? I have tried the smashbox photo finish and don't like it.. i'm really liking my korres foundation now but unsure how it will hold up on my wedding day...
  14. Hm.... I think I will try it as written next week for my first week of core and then if I stay the same or god forbid gain weight I will do something like low carb, low carb, low gi, low gi, low carb, low carb.... I did lose a total of 13# in priming but it was all in the first 2 weeks..... I shouldn't complain just yet OK on to cheat day! I had a plain bagel toasted well done with plain cream cheese and an iced coffee with cream for breakfast. I didn't eat anything until I got to my engagement party. I ate there, though! We were there from around 1:30 - 7:30pm and during that time I managed to eat: - several pieces of bread dipped in tuscan bean dip (amazingly good) - veggies in roasted red pepper dip - sesame breadstick (or two of them maybe...) - sangria (i know, alcohol is a no-no but at least sangria is not 100% booze, it's mixed with some other stuff) That was the appetizers... Main dishes there was a buffet and I sampled - roasted sweet potatoes with molasses (omg, yum) - chicken marsala - veal & peas - tortellini with prosciutto and cream sauce - salad with italian dressing (I only had a little bit of each). Then afterwards, CAKE!! YUM. Marble cake with buttercream icing. Oh and I had half an Italian cookie. After I got home I opened one of my gifts and it was a very LARGE box of fancy schmancy handmade chocolates from L.A. Burdick... I did have a few of those too. I just HAD to. I wouldn't trust anyone who could resist these chocolates. I put them in the fridge. I will eat a few next cheat day.... All in all I had a good cheat day .. next time it won't be a "party" day so I will hopefully eat more "food food" rather than sweets and desserts. I still am SO craving fish and chips..... next week!! Best of luck to everyone else this week!!!
  15. Thanks! the ziplines on the hidden worlds tour - how many ziplines were there ? Where they pretty high up?
  16. I really think they are pretty but tbh, they scare me. - traveling on a plane -- I wouldn't want to be on a plane carrying a bunch of "fuel cells" from lanterns made in china. - lighting them - if someone got hurt @ my wedding I would feel awful. plus everyone will have a cocktail in hand and alcohol and this stuff just doesn't mix - danger - what if one lands on one of the thatched roofs as someone suggested earlier? There are a myriad of warnings for these: # Do not launch in wind conditions that make lighting the lantern difficult. In any case ensure that the wind is not stronger than 5 mph # Unpack the lanterns away from the source of ignition. Never light lanterns whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Never smoke whilst handling the lanterns. # Before the lantern is launched, the naked flame must be supervised at all times. # Launching a lantern in strong winds, that is torn or has burn holes in may cause premature landing and fire at the point of grounding. # Check the wind direction prior to releasing the lanterns – obstacles such as buildings and trees should not be in the direct flight path of the lantern and must be at least 30 metres away. # Do not release lanterns within a five mile radius of an operational airport or landing strip or within two miles of a major road or motorway. # Do not release the lanterns in an area where the glow could be confused as a distress signal. I'm not trying to be negative nancy.. if you're having these, hopefully all will go well and I'm sure they will be really beautiful.... they're just not for me.
  17. Has anyone done the zip line thing with the wedding party? I found XPLOR which has the zip lines + snorkeling and a few other activities.. looks really fun !!! I don't know if there are other places to do the zip line? What other adventurous activities have you done and do you recommend them? Thanks

Hi.. you can have an outside photographer if they are a guest of the hotel! My wedding in 2010 and I have confirmed this twice with my WC, Claudia. Additionally she confirmed that they don't even need to stay at the palace - they can stay at the colonial, tropical, or beach and still participate in all activities of the wedding.
  19. OK final weight in (for the priming phase) I'm a bit disappointed. I did not lose 1 ounce since last week. I have followed the diet to a T, no cheating.... I did so well the first 2 weeks, I was hoping to lose at least 2 pounds this week but NOTHING. I did weigh myself in the middle of the week and had GAINED. At least today I am back to where I was at last week's weigh-in Did anyone experience 0 weight loss for the 3rd week of priming? I'm worried about the cheat day and that I will gain back....... This is NOT a good way to start my cheat day
