Hi, I am the other bride in this story. My claim is currently escalated with paypal and I am waiting to find out if I can get my money back. I also wanted to say I have bought many times here on BDW and I believe that most people are good. But do your homework when buying. I know now I will take things like post count into consideration when I buy from BDW from now on...

i'm praying for all of us... keep up the good work!! i only lost .8 lb this week but could not exercise at all I hurt my ankle and went and got an x-ray and they told me I have 3 bone spurs. They are very painful and I will likely need to have them shaved down (ouch).. going to an orthopedic surgeon next friday. I think I'm going to try and focus on strength training and maybe do some supersets to work in some cardio as basically I can't run, walk, jog, elliptical, or bike... what a setback

I think it's best to post individual for sale threads for the dresses. This way buyers and sellers can have a communication in the thread about the dress that is for sale. It's tough to follow long threads and much easier to update when sold if it's one thread. I just can see it getting really confusing in one thread only...

Honestly, I don't see a problem with it at all. She is likely trying to fit in with you and your wedding. Do you think in 5, 10, 20 years it will matter what color dress she wore? And so what if she wears silver shoes? There's nothing wrong with your FMIL wearing the same color dress (in my opinion)... however if it is something that is going to continue to bother you, you should simply, nicely tell her that you would prefer she not match the bridal party. In fact, when she asked you what color, if you felt so strongly about it, you could have told her then. I also want to add that stressing over it and inventing scenarios ("...if she had showed up to her daughters $80,000 wedding (which fmil paid for) in a dress that matched the wedding party, her own daughter would have had a fit") will not help the matter at all.. don't compare your wedding to anyone elses. There's enough to stress about when planning a wedding Edit: i just noticed it's 6 days away from your wedding -- have a great time and don't even worry about the dresses

sorry to hear that your DW plans have to be scrapped. Perhaps maybe you two could still have a "symbolic" ceremony in Mexico ? that way you get to experience a bit of the DW.... also about the deposits, that SUCKS. I wonder if you pleaded with the resort if they'd refund you? It's not like the wedding was right around the corner... it was far enough away so that they could certainly rebook. If not , could you maybe see if your TA can use your block of rooms for other clients?

other good places to shop for conservative clothing would be LL Bean or Lands End... some things are probably too casual but they do have some nice pants/sweaters/blouses.

Jill, maybe give it 1 more week? Perhaps you are retaining water or you are on the verge of losing? Try to maybe stick it out for 1 more week to see what happens? I admit the core phase hasn't been as fast or rewarding as the priming phase (this week I only lost .4 pounds). I have given the core phase 3 weeks and so next week I'm definitely switching it up to low carb, low carb, low carb, low gi, low gi, high gi (removing one high GI day and replacing it with a low carb day)... How's the cheat day going? So far I've gone out for breakfast and had most of a cheese omelette, some home fries and 1/2 a bagel with cream cheese. Fat city!!! Enjoy the rest of your day
