Congrats. Maybe try Dreams Riviera Cancun. I've just spotted it. It's opening in October this year so by June next year it should be running smoothly. The rooms look really nice. It's located beside Excellence Riviera Cancun (where we want to get married if no kids). If kids come then we may go for Dreams Riviera Cancun.
I have done a lot of research on resorts in the Riviera Maya and Excellence is the one that I'm leaning too. I look at other ones such as the Secrets Resorts and seem to always go back to Excellence. It is very highly rated and I can't see you going wrong with a wedding there. Good luck with the planning. There are threads on this site that will show you flower options etc.
Does anyone have any photos of receptions in any of the restaurants? Does anyone know if it woudl be nice in one of the restaurants (closed on that day) with about 20-30 people?
Excellence Punta Cana is supposed to be the best resort in Punta Cana. I've read many great reviews about the place. I don't think you could go wrong with it.
Dreams Punta Cana looks very nice as well. The location seems fantastic.
Swine Flu is everywhere. The media over exaggerated it. The Catalonia Royal Tulum looks really nice with a beautiful setting. I'm thinking of going there for a few days or so before I get married at Excellence Riviera.
Congratulations.
It's quite fun deciding where you want to get married. Firstly you need to think if children will be attending as there are many Adults Only Resorts on the Riviera Maya.
The Paradicus Riviera Cancun looks quite good as well. It is next to the Excellence. Room Service etc is included. The Dreams resorts look good and cater for children. The weddings seem to be quite nice there.
I've seenthat the translation of documents for a Legal Wedding is US$50 per page at Excellence which is fine. Is it best to get the pages translated at home (London) or when we get there?
Any more info on the legal weddings would be great.
