The other may be the Mahi Mahi with teh Chicken Stuffed after you've said it was delicious.

What has anyone on the GOLD package selected for the meal? Do we have to chose Menu I, II, or III or can we mix and match? The main meals seem unusual......fish and chicken together...seems like a BBQ match. I actually find it quite funny. Most of the brides on here say that the meals are nice though.

I just asked Ramon quite a few questions. He has responded very quickly on the 2 emails I have sent him in the past 24 hours. He seems like a nice guy. It does seem that things that Veronica said are included are not the case with Ramon. I have had a couple of misunderstandings with him through email due to the language barrier but I feel that in person there wont be a problem at all. Veronica stated that the 'additional decorations for the ceremony' for the GOLD Package was chair sashes and a flower on the back of each chair. Ramon has since stated that the flower at the back of the chair is not inclued and cost $5 each. When I got a price list from Veronica it stated that a flower at the back of each chair is $2. However, he did give us options for the additional decorations as below (his writing, not mine): In the Gold package includes additional decoration which you will have the following options, obviously you need to pick just one: Rose petals aisle 2 additional boutonniere OR lady corsages 1 additional flower centerpiece Sashes for the chairs could be for the ceremony OR dinner reception Now back to me. See below for some of my findings from his emails. I have noticed that the Romantic Dinner Cruise has been taken out of the GOLD package. Ramon said that they have not replaced this with anything. You can rent vases for the bridesmaids flowers at $15 each. Seems like they're trying to make the most out of the weddings as possible. Fair enough. However, I doubt that if a guest at the resort would have to pay $15 to rent a vase if someone gave them flowers and wanted to have them in their room. In better news, he stated that there are 3 tiers on the wedding cake if having 30 people. I was quite happy with this. This may be in the Gold package but my question was 'For 30 people, how many tiers would the wedding cake be?' Wedding Menu cards for each guest are included in the wedding packages. He sent me photos of the wedding cakes (same as Veronica sent), boutonnieres (split by Gold and Silver package), table centre pieces, Bridal bouquets (Gold and Silver), Menu's (same as Veronica sent). I can email these to anyone if they would like. I also have a selection of reception photos for the Foyer, Barcelona and the Lobster House (well, only photos from inside the Lobster House...not of a reception), Garibaldi Square. I have just sent Ramon another email stating that Veronica said that the sound system was included in the packages for the ceremony. If Ramon says that this is not true and the sound system is $500 then I wont be happy. I also stated that Veronica said that the cost for additional guest was $45.

We are having a legal ceremony. We don't see the the legal ceremony as being difficult at all. All you have to do is a blood test, be at the resort for 3 days before ceremony (not including weekends), and get your birth cert apostilled (we need to get this done in Slovakia and New Zealand and it's quite easy). A costs a little more though.

Do they provide a menu card/sheet for everyone at the wedding reception? I saw on this forum that Veronica did menu's for a welcome dinner. If yes, is there a charge for this? Are the napkins white fabric? I assume this to be the case. It's just that our place settings are you to be personalised ribbons with the guests names on them tied around the napkin. Do they provide vases for the bridesmaids flowers? What things has Ramon said no to that Veronica said yes to? Thanks.

We're also considering having our reception at the Lobster House. I saw a photo of a reception there on trip advisor and it looked quite nice. I'm not sure about the foyer. Most weddings seem to have it there so it must be very nice. We'll decide on a place before we go but have an open mind. We'll have just over a week at ERC before the wedding so we should be ok. Where is everyone thinking about having the cocktail hour? I would like to have the cocktail hour in a different place than the reception but it doesn't really bother me too much. Anywhere will be nice. One of our options is the pier if possible.

I highly recommend if you can get it. Yamina advised me that they don't typically allow DJs in that location because it is close to building 9. However, they let me have it so I'm sure they will let others also. The people in the building 9 rooms facing the terrace didn't seem to be annoyed. Some of them actually came out and started dancing in the hallway outside their rooms. HAHAHA. It was hysterical! BTW, I am going to post a pic of Yamina and I (even though I look horrendous as I had just gotten back from scuba diving)! She is so cute and such a doll! Don't ake the mistake that I did and panic and worry when she didn't get back to me right away. She is excellent at what she does and will bring everything together for your weddings! I'm getting married the Excellence Riviera Cancun but if I was getting married at EPM I would definately love to have the reception where you had it. Your reception looked awesome.

Is anyone thinking of having their cocktail hour at the X-Lounge? Mystic - do you think that the X-Lounge would be a nice place to have thbe cocktail hour. I was thinking of having it there as after the ceremony we'll be having our photos so we wouldn't be too far from everyone. We were thinking of having a half hour gap between the end of the ceremony and the start of the cocktail hour.

My fiance and I are still deciding which way to go. I am afraid that a legal ceremony at home will make the whole celebration in Mexico pointless or less special. Though, I kind of like the idea of exchanging the traditional vows and then later exchanging our own at a symbolic ceremony. My fiance is a little weirded out by the requirements of a legal ceremony in Mexico. Any input from you all would be helpful. Thank you!! We are having a LEGAL ceremony. We'll be there for 2 weeks so the needing to be in Mexico at least 4 days prior to the wedding wont be difficult for us and all the other requirements such as birth certificates and a blood test don't seem too difficult at all. I don't think many countries (other than your own) would be easier to marry than in Mexico. We have had friends get married in other countries other than their own and the paper work seems to be a lot greater than for Mexico.

I would not worry about Excellence not being able to guarantee the location. I'm sure if you indicate your choice of location first then they wont give it to another wedding. It's probably due to any unforeseen circumstances that could (but probably wont) eventuate such as redecoration or damage to particular location (once again that most probably wont happen).

This is her quote: 'Yes, the sound system is included in our three wedding packages. If you are having a legal ceremony we need 3 songs (when you are walking down the aisle, at the signing of the documents and at the end of the ceremony) If you are having a non-legal ceremony we need just 2 songs (when you are walking down the aisle and at the end of the ceremony) We only have the Cannon in D and the Wedding March, if you want to have different songs you can bring a cd or your iPod.'

I know this is an old quote but Veronica said that the ceremony music was inlcuded in all three packages. Was this the case for any of you have been married there? I'll just keep the email.
