  1. Congrats and Welcome!!!
  2. We're doing OOT bags and 2 favors. The guests will have fans for the ceremony waiting for them on the seats, and silver starfish wine stoppers on their plates for the reception. We figure they're traveling for our big day, so why not spoil them a bit.
  3. I agree word for word with JerseyKitten!!! Sounds like you were her 2nd, maybe even 3rd choice! And who knows if she even would have invited you if she wasn't in a pickle. Besides you have your own wedding to worry about. Bite the bullet, say no! Good Luck
  4. Congrats!! I would go on Trip Advisor and search family resorts. First though figure out what area you both would love. Good Luck!
  5. Congrats and Welcome! I think choosing the right place was the hardest decision we had to do. It will get easier and fun after Good Luck!
  6. Welcome! I've been to Cancun before...it's beautiful!
  7. Congrats and Welcome!!
  8. Welcome and Happy Planning!
  9. You look HOTT girl! I love both dresses on you, but I have to ask....where did you get your reception dress, I want it, lol!
  10. I've never personally have ever heard of that. If that's the case, then that's great more $$$ in your pocket, and no tourist favoritism.
  11. I would go for chicken. More people who are 'picky' meat eaters will chose chicken over pork.
  12. I LOVE #5 on you! It drapes your body well. I had a hard time choosing as well, and my friends just said to me...."deep down inside you know which one is 'the one', you may not want to admit it because you're not the happiest with your body, but soon you will be". My dress is pretty tight, and now that I'm losing weight, every time I put it on I feel so much better about my decision. Anyways, I hope my little story helps you in some way
  13. That has never even accured to me. We will definitely be bring our rings with us. Never in my life have I travelled without my bling jewels. If I don't feel like wearing it, I just put it in the room safe. I agree with the other girls....if it's not safe on your finger, will were it be safe?
  14. I've definitely have had the same experience as Dmitri_Markine! They (servers & bartenders) will look right at you, and if they don't see you tip, well....forget about that drink you were about to order. I've been going to Cuba for many years, and I've noticed it becoming like that ever since they put the CUC in to order.
  15. We had similar issues, and my advice is similar to the rest...get a TA that specialize in DW weddings. It's a different ball game when your booking for a group, that was probably our most stressful time in planning our wedding (so far). If you live in the GTA area in Ontario I highly recommend this company, we're dealing with them and are really pleased. Our resort charges on average $2200/person (AI), and we got them to watch the price and locked it down for our guests at $1400/person with tax!! Good Luck, hope this helps Canada?s Leading Destination Wedding Specialists
  16. I will usually give cash tips, but when I go to Cuba I will always go to the dollar store and pick up toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, ets, all the grooming stuff that we all need. All that stuff though, I will only give to the maid, the rest of staff it's cash tips. They seem to really appreciate it!
  17. Happy Planing...again! Hope you have your dream wedding this time around
  18. Welcome and Happy planning!!!
