I was researching beach wedding decor(like seating, etc) and I found something really cool to do at the ceremony. It's called the "wish ceremony" and it is done after all the vows are said. Exact text pasted below:
During the ceremony the Bride and Groom each take a seashell from a basket and repeat a verse together. The guests are then asked to take a seashell.
After the couple are pronounced Husband and Wife, everyone follows them to the edge of the water to make a wish or a Blessing.
The couple counts to 3 and everyone casts the seashells into the water at the same time - NOT at the Groom! Ha!
The ripples that are made represent everyone's paths crossing and bring love and good wishes not only for the couple, but for anyone that they come into contact with.
We are definitely going to do that at our ceremony. I think it is so sweet.
As for the honeymoon, we have decided that it will be in Jamaica. We are thinking about staying at Jamaica Inn or Couples San Souci.
If anyone has stayed at these resorts whether it be for your wedding or honeymoon, feel free to share your experience! I've read great reviews for both places.
