  1. Subbi, LOVE the color scheme and style!! Yes, it does exist!!
  2. Just had to say jszy10, you aren't becoming a lazy bride...there's a ridiculous amount of planning that goes into a destination wedding (as you well know) but I promise it'll be 150% worth it in the end!
  3. Hey aeluzu! Feel free to place an order and I can absolutely accommodate any custom requests by color, style, etc! You just let me know what I can do for you as I see your date is coming up quickly!!! How exciting! I'm leaving for Brazil for some more travel inspiration to incorporate into my designs on 5/26 and I'll be gone until 6/4. Thanks for the comment! Here's my site www.redibychelsea.com, the story about my business http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/73260/red-i-by-chelsea-exotic-travel-inspired-destination-wedding-jewelry and a link to some barefoot jewelry & other destination wedding examples http://www.redibychelsea.com/?page_id=1046! 4. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  5. They definitely are nabreu7! All can be customized by color/style/personality! In case you need to see any "in action" - I just posted a video here: http://www.redibychelsea.com/. It's a must to show those pedicured toes off on the big day!
  6. So sorry to reply twice, I didn't realize I automatically was signed into an account I'm not using - here's my original message! Hey ginnigurl! Congrats on the wedding and I'm sure you're insanely excited! Per your question on barefoot...I design barefoot beach jewelry (for Brides & Bridesmaids), so it's another option in case you'd like to save the heels for the reception and walk down the beach aisle with your feet sparkling in foot jewels (this is what I did)! Here is my page on here for [Red-i] By Chelsea: Exotic Travel-Inspired Destination Wedding Jewelry as well as my site! I'm happy to customize any orders as well and I can do a quick turnaround time! Thread on my business: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/73260/red-i-by-chelsea-exotic-travel-inspired-destination-wedding-jewelry My site is www.redibychelsea.com. All jewelry is travel-inspired based on exotic destinations I've visited. Everything can be customized by color, style & personality Cheers! Chelsea
  7. I know aren't they incredible!! Here's their website and an intro to who they are and what they're all about! http://www.delsolphotography.com/blog/index.php. I could look (and did/do) at their site for hours - they're complete artists. I'd be happy to put you in touch with them if you'd like. Both of the owners, Matt Adcock & Sol Tamargo (husband & wife) are on this forum as well! This is actually where we found them to book them for our wedding
  8. I'm really glad as well! I know it's too bad that we're all over the world on here but the best part is...having the ability to share pics/videos/comments right here instantaneously. What did people do without a computer?? Sounds good about the foot candy! Still love that name!
  9. Welcome & congrats, BriannaK! Sometimes the best things happen when there isn't much planning involved, so have a fabulous trip tomorrow! This site is definitely a haven of great resources - any questions, just ask!
  10. They're a lot of fun but yes, they're time consuming. A suggestion I'd have for those not staying at the resort would be to flat rate ship (since it's actually pretty affordable now - only about $5 for a decent sized box w/in the US). You could send those families their goods (possibly not everything you'd include in the bags you'll be bringing with you for those staying at the hotel if it doesn't all fit), but print out the same material if you're creating a brochure w/ the itinerary, details on the location, etc for it to arrive before they leave? Just a thought and then that way you aren't worrying about saving bags in your room or with the concierge for those who won't be at your hotel. That way, everyone would still be included
  11. We wanted to incorporate a bilingual song as our first dance song since we were getting married in Mexico and I have such a connection with Spain. I couldn't believe it was her when I heard it, but Miley Cyrus (I know...I know) and David Bisbal's song: "Cuando te Miro a ti". Recommendation - close your eyes and play it LOUDLY! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD2c6oBNKoY&feature=related. I didn't tell my husband it was her at first and I just played him the song. He loved it and had no idea it was her until I came clean I sent to my bridesmaids and each one emailed back that they literally cried after listening to it!
  12. Of course, happy to help! I think the wallet is a fabulous idea! I actually just this past weekend bought my husband a wallet and I think he was more excited about that than any gift I've ever given him! Sometimes it's the simple things (and most useful I think the wallet & the wedding shirt being engraved would be awesome! In case you need any inspiration, these were my wedding photographers that also do boudoir shots...underwater, in cenotes...how HOT are these? In case you needed any inspiration... http://delsolphotography.com/blog/post-949/Underwater-Boudoir-cenote-sexy-photos xoxo Chelsea www.redibychelsea.com
  13. Congratulations MrsAlmaguer2011! I planned my own destination wedding last June in Riviera Maya so let me know if you have any questions. It'll be the time of your life! Best, Chelsea
  14. Justiner57, LOVE the TTD idea! I say go for it!
  15. Hello hdinsmor! First off, congrats on your wedding planning and on the fact you're having family come in from Australia - that's a huge accomplishment and will be incredible to have everyone there! In my personal opinion, it sounds like your best bet would still be something that would be flowy for the simple fact that your sister will be very far along and your friend could potentially be pregnant by then. I like justiner57's idea about putting them in different colors since one is your sister as well. Your wedding colors sound beautiful together, and if there is a possibility of finding a teal dress for your sister and a red dress for your other bridesmaid, that could be an option? Since I planned my own destination wedding I thought a nice common denominator (with variations) would be the girl's jewelry. I did have my girls all in the same dress, but with completely different hairstyles/personalities and of course the jewels, it gave everyone a different look. What do you think about tying their look together with the jewelry? Since you'll be at the beach, natural shell tones with sparkling crystals could "marry" your bridesmaid's look without them necessarily having identical dresses. If you need any additional inspiration, photos from my wedding can be found here: http://www.redibychelsea.com/?page_id=1046. I hope that helps! Cheers! I am getting married Sept 10, 2011 at the Grand Palladium Resort in Luceau (Montego Bay), Jamaica! We are SOOOO excited! Girls, I am so far behind, it is scary!! Ordering invitations on Monday, and need to get them out ASAP. We expect to have 25 to 30 guests. My fiance's family is from Australia, so we will have about 10 Aussie's in attendance...shoud be fun!! I have my dress....it's the Pronovia's Galia. My daughter (5 years old) is wearing an empire tutu dress made by Juju's Tutus out of Phoenix (look it up on Etsy if you are interested...she designs such cute things for little girls). The colors for the wedding are red and teal/ turquoise color. Kind of hard to describe, but it looks really pretty together. So, here is my dilema, my sister is pregnant and will be 8 months along at my wedding. She is the maid of honor. My other bridesmaid (I only have 2), was also pregnant, but unfortunately had a miscarriage. She is starting to try again now. When they were both pregnant, I was going to have them both wear a long maternity cotton stretchy flowy day dress for the wedding...not actual "bridesmaid dresses". But, now I don't know what to do and I feel like I need to decide something quickly. The wedding is less than 4 months away! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Glad to find you ladies! Look foward to chatting futher! Good luck to everyone!
  16. Sorry, I applied from an account I'm not using anymore but here is my response: Hey canadiangirl, I think it is a really good idea but is it something maybe you'd like to reserve for a present for a birthday or Christmas and do something a bit lower in price since you're buying multiple gifts? I love anything having to do with technology, but I do think a wedding is an opportunity to really put yourself out there on a personal level and include something that honors the both of you that he would appreciate. I know it has been mentioned before, but what about the boudoir photoshoot? Is that something you think he would appreciate? There's also an engraved money clip with your wedding date as an idea (good for travel as well and would be something to remember the date , possibly have the shirt he's wearing for the wedding monogrammed, etc. I'll try and brainstorm some other things, but those are off the top of my head from a "personal" level. Don't get me wrong, I think the iPad would be awesome, but I think that could also be an idea for a bday/holiday. I didn't have a man of honor but I did have my best guy friend walk me down the aisle. The gift for him was the outfit for the wedding (since that adds up with men's pants and the special "breathe easy" material dress shirt.
  17. Aruba is also a gorgeous place for a honeymoon. There are hotels near Oranjestad (the capital) where we stayed at the Renaissance Hotel & Casino. The great part about that hotel is they have their own private island that only those staying at the hotel are allowed to use! They have private boats that take you directly from the hotel (literally in the lobby) to the island in about 5 minutes! The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, clean & modern. Another idea if you're already going to be in Mexico is to honeymoon where I was married, at Excellence Riviera Cancun. It's an adults only, all inclusive that reallly caters to it being a romantic hotel. Most people there tend to be honeymooners or romantic getaways! All Junior Suites have a jacuzzi bathtub, clean and beautiful (with more of a Mexican/tropical decor), the grounds are immaculate and there is the ability to have privacy at so many different parts of the hotel. There is an Excellence Club side and a regular side. In my opinion after looking at a room on the club side, is that they're extremely similar with the exception of a fully stocked bar in the room on the club side (but remember, it's all inclusive so it doesn't matter that much). There are a ton of opportunities for a romantic honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas as well. A lot of properties are timeshares that are rented out throughout the year and some have some insanely gorgeous views, private plunge pools, built into cliffs, etc! Hope that helps and let me know if there are any questions! I have other suggestions if you're interested in venturing farther, but these would be my recommendations if you want to stay in that side of the world!
  18. These are adorable jszy10! We used Vistaprint as well and your theme was on our "Advice for the Bride & Groom" postcards! Love it! luggage tags.docx
  19. Great idea!! It'll also be the gift that keeps on giving with new apps that can always be downloaded!
  20. Hi grandstreet11! You're going to have time of your life, congratulations! Last minute advice I'd give is to make sure that you have someone in your bridal party/family member/friend know what your schedule is going to be for the big day. Making sure you won't have to worry about little details will give you peace of mind and allow you to float around the day of like the beautiful bride you'll be! My MOH actually volunteered to go meet with the WC, so if you have that option, it might be something nice in order to allow yourself to relax and enjoy yourself at maximum capacity! Congrats again!
  21. Hi Jewels93! We were married at ERC last June and had the following "organized" events" Welcome Dinner Thurs. night (night before the Mexican Fiesta) at Agave Restaurant (the Mexican restaurant) in Garibaldi Square. It was great and the food was good. Ramon (the WC there at the time) provided a fixed menu with the exception of vegetarian and allergy preferences. This is also where we gave customized t-shirts out to our bridal party! It was an opportunity to welcome everyone since by Thurs everyone had arrived! Friday night - Mexican Fiesta night - most of our guests went but we couldn't all sit together as the tables are spread all over in tables of either 6 or 8. Other guests went to different restaurants that night and we met up at the bar inside the lobby after dinner - and then went to the little discoteque on the property afterwards (always a great and hysterical time!) Saturday - day of the wedding. Eric and I didn't see each other that day. He stayed with his groomsmen and other guests in the pool and at the beach while my girls and I did a spa day and I gave them their gifts. We had our beach ceremony at 5pm and cocktail hour on the pier at 6 (I've attached pics of all of this). Afterwards we held our reception in the foyer. One note, it was extremely hot - but this also made for some of the best pictures EVER. When else are you going to see a bridal party with them men either not wearing shirts or having their shirts go from white to clear?! Hope this helps! Getting ready after the spa - back in the room with champagne! Ramon, the WC at the time, delivering our bouquets!! Headed down to the ceremony on the beach! My girls all sang "Going to the Chapel" and I nearly cried Switching into barefoot jewelry for my walk down the beach aisle! My best friend walked me down the aisle - and cried the whole time We took some pics on the beach while cocktail hr started on the pier! They had a fully stocked private bar on the beach for us before you walked up to the pier and then waiters walking around on the pier with drinks & hors d'oeuvres Pics on the pier with my bridesmaids & I! It is Mexico after all! We took some more pics on the pier next to our cocktail hr pier! Beautiful reception in the foyer set up with all of my requests fulfilled! My Maid of Honor and one of the groomsman's entrance! We had the DJ play the James Bond 007 theme song as we walked in because well, I had just become a BONDGIRL!! snuck down to the beach for a few photographs since we missed the sunset! Yes, it was EXTREMELY hot, but well worth it!!
  22. Hey Saydi1014! We were married there last June and our guests loved the Mexican Fiesta night! We did that on Friday and we held a separate "Welcome Dinner" at the Mexican Restaurant (Agave) on Thursday night. We paid extra but it was nice to have something where we were all together!
  23. Thank you so much! Feel free to let me know if you need anything! :-)
