  1. Welcome to the forum and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Mexico is fabulous and there are countless amazing resources on this site for resorts, photographers and beyond! Congratulations!
  2. Hey Fuschia Beauties! I wanted to pass this info along. I've started to design exotic hair accessories along with my travel-inspired jewelry, so if you're interested please take a look! More will be coming and since I just completed the "Fantasy Orchid" Fuschia clip, I thought of the Fuschia brides!!
  3. What a gorgeous color bridesmaid's dress NM2011! If you need any custom barefoot jewels, necklaces, bracelets or earrings to go along with those, please let me know!
  4. Aruba is such a gorgeous place. You'll love it! Perfect for a wedding. If we hadn't gotten married in Riviera Maya I think Aruba would have been our destination. I was so in love with the beautiful island that I've designed many pieces in my jewelry line that are "Aruba-inspired!" Good luck with all of your planning!!
  5. Absolutely! My girls not only wore their custom barefoot jewels for the ceremony & reception (all night even into the disco at the resort) but they still take them on vacation!
  6. Hey Jacki7896! Congratulations on your planning! I saw you mentioned jewelry and wanted to pass along my information! I design destination wedding jewelry for brides as well as bridal parties which includes barefoot beach jewels, necklaces, earrings & bracelets!
  7. Congratulations Lupita and if you need any jewels, please let me know!
  8. Susan 1672, your dress is absolutely stunning! That pink underlay is so special, wonderful choice!!
  9. Really pretty! It definitely looks re-wearable friendly too! Congrats!
  10. Congrats on all the planning and let us know if you have any questions, Kate!
  11. Hi All! For my bridesmaids, and 2 MOH's I designed a custom collection of necklaces, earrings & barefoot jewelry. I'm a jewelry designer so it came naturally and when I was brainstorming about what to get for them that would be something they wouldn't forget...it came pretty quickly to me! Each collection was designed with their individual personalities in mind and they were so emotional when they opened them up. I presented everything to them as we were in my suite getting ready on the day of the wedding after we had our hair & makeup done. All my girls still wear everything and really appreciate how special their pieces were/are. It's nice because they can take their jewelry anywhere they go and always have a great memory of when they first wore it! Pictures are below
  12. Hi Steph! ERC did provide the centerpieces our reception. I had a specific vision in my head of how I wanted it to look and the WC at the time (Ramon) actually was able to hunt down a couple of the large cylindrical vases for me and didn't charge me any extra. This was only because he knew they had them from a wedding recently and offered them but they don't typically have them. I looked at outside vendors and felt that what ERC could provide (with my specific vision in mind) would be great. We didn't do anything with the gazebo but I'm assuming you're talking about the palapa on the beach? The reason I'm saying that is because there is an actual gazebo on the property that you can use to get married but we wanted to have our ceremony on the beach. ERC provided all decorations for that as well. We wanted the starfish along the aisle and they provided the sheer curtains that draped around the palapa as well as the chair covers. I wanted to keep it very clean, chic & modern so I wasn't interested in a ton of different decorations, so it made it fairly easy for me. We met with the WC the day before the wedding to choose how we wanted the reception to be set up (including the black tablecloth/white linens/flower arrangements/bouquets. I'm the type of person that does not like to leave thing until last minute, but in this situation, we had to. It all worked out and I was thrilled with how the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception turned out! The only things I brought as far as "decorations" were the placecards, postcards and a little folded foamboard with some pics of us and directions to fill out the postcards ("Advice for the Bride & Groom"). Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
  13. Sounds great! I completely understand, everything has it's time in the planning process. A few things off the top of my head that I loved about our wedding were: a) Having our wedding at ERC. Honestly, from the moment you walk into this resort, you know you're going to be treated incredibly. Our friends and family were blown away from the second they drove up and were dropped off, to the champagne that was handed to them as they got out of the shuttle and the check-in process. Their excitement grew as they walked down the grand staircase our to the pool where they could always find us from morning until dinner! They really worked with us on special touches from a design standpoint of our wedding and set up the reception exactly how I wanted. Everyone had an amazing time. Our choice in photographers. Del Sol was absolutely amazing (as you can see with the pictures). They took the time to find out what kind of shots we didn't want and then added their famous flair to make them works of art that now hang on our walls! c) Having a 5pm ceremony. Our wedding was in June (this Sunday will be our 1 year anniversary It was HOT and the best thing in our opinion was to have the ceremony on the beach no earlier than 5pm. Our cocktail hour on the pier was another huge love of mine...it just really was something different and everyone had a great time. Let me know if you have any questions! Best, Chelsea
  14. Thank you Sharon99! You're going to have amazing pictures. I am sure of it. Del Sol & La Luna both create artwork with photography so you'll be in great hands I'm sure! Congratulations to you! Also, I see that you're from Philadelphia? I'm originally from the Allentown area and went to college in West Chester, PA!
  15. Hey Nicole! Congratulations! I was married last year at Excellence Riviera Cancun. The Excellence brand is amazing and I haven't been to EPM yet, but I've heard wonderful things. You're going to have a top notch wedding! We had Del Sol do the photography and I can tell you that almost 1 year later (in a week), I still tear up when I look at the photos. They're incredible people to work with and true artists! Good luck with the planning! I've included some of the pics from Del Sol below
  16. Hey wilsonj2! If you're looking for barefoot jewelry (barefoot sandals) for the ceremony, I'd be happy to design them for you (if you're interested). I've included some pics below. Also, I'm not sure what color you'd like your fiance to wear, but we found a beautiful pinstripe linen "Stay Cool" brand at Joseph A. Bank (JOS). The material was still comfortable to wear in the extreme heat on the beach! I've included pics of his suit as well. His groomsmen wore tan pants and "Stay Cool" white crisp shirts.
  17. Hey beachbum21! If you need any help with the barefoot sandals, I design them and would be more than happy to work with you. My suggestion for the wedge is Victoria Secret. I think they only sell shoes along with the clothes in the catalog, but I just received the catalog the other day and saw wedges (flip flops, but very cute) if that's what your looking for!
  18. No problem! I had never bought anything off of Bluefly before and I was thrilled with what I got! Best of luck with the shoe hunt!
  19. I would also try Bluefly.com (this is wear I found my shoes for my reception) and they ship to Canada http://www.bluefly.com:80/custom/custom.jsp?promoId=m480128
  20. Hey ebli23! It really depends if you think you'll be purchasing a dress from a traditional bridal salon because it takes sometimes months to actually get the dress in (sometimes months). It also depends on the designer as well. When I thought I'd be purchasing from a bridal salon, I started looking in July with my wedding date set for the following June and I was already being told that certain dresses could take up to 6 months to come in. After that, you have to budget time for alterations as well. You definitely have time but I just wanted to give you a heads up! Good luck!
  21. Another idea for workouts that are quick but still effective are any of the "On Demand" (Through Verizon Fios) or any other cable provider that has "Watch it Now" options. The nice part is that they refresh the workouts so you don't get (overly) bored doing the same ones day in and day out. Good luck to everyone!
  22. Congrats on the 9lbs Mich1111! That's amazing, good for you!
  23. Hello Fellow Shoe Goddesses! As a suggestion, I wore barefoot jewelry and so did my bridesmaids for my wedding in Riviera Maya on the beach at Excellence Riviera Cancun. Mine also counted as my "something blue" The girls loved them so much (and still wear them). They kept them on all night and never bothered to put their heels on for the reception! Just a thought!
