Another idea...(this is what I did) is to check Overstock.com. I found my bridesmaid's dresses on there and everyone loved them. The great part...they were $50, re-wearable and a color that popped! No one ever had any idea that they weren't "bridesmaid's" dresses and it saved everyone quite a bit of money

HI chazzymacd! If you're looking for a hotel that isn't a "resort" set up, you should check out Condo Hotels in Playa del Carmen (http://www.condohotelsplayadelcarmen.com/). They're high-end gorgeous condos that have much more room than typical hotel rooms and they have their own kitchens. From all of the reviews on Trip Advisor and photos that I've seen, it lead me to booking a trip to stay at El Taj this November for our TTD session! It's located right in Playa del Carmen so that will be the more "fiesta" part of our trip. I was also excited to go there because there's a great beach club (Indigo Beach Club) with beach beds that are FREE for guests only!
