  1. Congratulations! 6 months out means all of the fun stuff is left to do! Any questions, feel free to ask!
  2. Hey! To be honest, we were only there for a lunch so we didn't spend a ton of time there. I would think they could offer some suggestions to you. Have you contacted them or the St. Lucia tourism board? Another idea is to "like" them on Facebook & Twitter for ongoing updates.
  3. Hi Katie! I'm sorry, I'm not sure if that question about the barefoot jewels was directed to me or not? I'm actually a jewelry designer and designed all of mine in case you're interested. I create custom pairs for brides and their bridal parties all of the time Here's my site if you're interested www.redibychelsea.com Barefoot Jewelry & other Destination Wedding custom jewels
  4. Hey Jacki, Another idea for guests to get to get to know each other ahead of time (and what I did) was to create a Private Event page actually on Facebook. That way people can scope our their fellow guests and even have things to talk about once they arrive. In a world of social media, it's easy to feel close to people who are attending the same event just by a few posts! It really got our guests even more excited and was easy enough to push out info that way too (and a lot less time consuming than putting together an actual book...and having to travel with it Just a thought!
  5. Hi nicc80! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding I had my honeymoon last year in St. Lucia! I would say the beaches as a whole do not disappoint but it can really depend on which hotel/villa you choose. We honeymooned at Calabash Cove and the beach there was more like well...a cove. It was about a 10 minute cab ride to the Rodney Bay area which had MUCH better beaches. Going back to St Lucia I would definitely stay in either Rodney Bay or if looking for a splurge, Jade Mountain or Anse Chastanet. I can tell you it was absolutely buggy but you will have that with most islands. Lots of bug spray is a must no matter where you go! I didn't go inside of the Windjammer but we dropped some honeymooners off after our ziplining tour and it looks gorgeous! Best of luck with the planning and if you have any other questions about St. Lucia, feel free to ask! Chelsea www.redibychelsea.com
  6. Hi britmitros! Congratulations! I had a destination wedding last year in Mexico but honeymooned in St. Lucia. Have you ever been to St. Lucia? Do you know which hotel/resort you'd like to be married at? Keep in mind that St. Lucia has two different airports as well when you're booked your hotel. After you choose the hote, I would suggest getting your STD (Save the Dates) out months in advance (I sent mine out 9 months in advance but some have sent them closer to the date). It may seem overwhelming at times but a destination wedding is incredible. If you have any specific questions please let me know
  7. Oh my Gosh adpilegcy! I didn't even know you culd get married at Jalouise Plantation? That's such an adorable place. I visited there when I was on my honeymoon in St. Lucia last year. Congrats!
  8. Congratulations and happy planning! This is a fabulous resource so feel free to ask any questions!
  9. Hi Ladies! Thanks for the shout, Coconoir I design barefoot jewelry as well as all other destination wedding jewelry and hair accessories ("Exotic Hair Couture"). I wore them for my own destination wedding last year in Riviera Maya and designed a custom collection of them along with necklaces and earrings for all of my bridesmaids. I've designed for many brides here on BDWF and they make fabulous bridal party gifts! I've attached some photos below (also including some designed for Trash the Dress sessions from Del Sol Photography). All of my designs have been inspired by places I've visited around the world - so each piece has a story I design with various materials including beads that I custom order from around the world as well as Swarovski crystals, gems, shells and more. Here are some of my reviews both from BDWF brides and other clients: BDWF Bride Reviews Additional {Red-i} By Chelsea Reviews All of my contact info is below and don't hesitate to ask any questions. 15. One more thought in case the designer can't give you an answer on it - ask them if they'll mail you a swatch with feathers attached and you could always submerge in water yourself for a DIY test!
  16. No problem! Well, I guess we can't expect everyone to understand the creativity and beauty behind such an amazing photo session As a designer I'm so excited when brides tell me they'll be wearing my jewels for a TTD - the photos are incredible! Good luck with everything!
