  1. Thanks Brendee! They're definitely eye catching pieces around the pool!
  2. That IS funny and in more ways than one LOL! We went for my bday to the Riviera Maya and to meet with the wedding planner in Nov 2009 (our wedding was June 2010) and take a look... My husband is of Irish decent...so maybe that's why? LOL Too cute. I think ordering back up postcards is a good idea but his thought is really sweet!
  3. Hey Ladies! Just a suggestion, you can customize barefoot jewelry to correspond with dress colors. The best part...they can re-wear them on vacations forever! Many brides have requested colors with pops of crystals that work with their bridesmaid's dresses...those pics are below as well. Here are a few pics from my own wedding and bridesmaids:
  4. Good idea, Janet! Just as a suggestion, if you have a hairstyle in mind you may want to bring pics out of a magazine, online or a pic you have of yourself already with the hairstyle. That's just my two cents after having mine done at the spa at my resort. I was happy with how it turned out but in hindsight I wish I would have brought a visual so I could have relaxed a bit more about it! SO CLOSE!!!
  5. Pages is definitely amazing! It can make anyone who doesn't feel like they're "crafty" feel like a graphic designer!
  6. Hi britmitros! Congratulations on your engagement and the start of your wedding planning! It can definitely be overwhelming at first. I had a destination wedding in the Riviera Maya in 2010 and after working with brides on a daily basis, here are a few starter questions to help you with first steps: Budget Are you looking for an all inclusive resort? How many people can you estimate will attend? Are you looking for a proximity to night life or are you planning to stay with your group within a hotel and it's grounds? (We had our wedding at a resort that was basically self-contained which was great, but after a few days it would have been nice to venture out to some different areas). There are definitely a fair share of super luxe type resorts like Jade Mountain, Anse Chastenet, etc. and also more of the larger hotels like Sandals, etc. St. Lucia is obviously naturally gorgeous and there's a lot to do, so hopefully those first few questions help narrow something things down? Good luck and if you have any specific questions, please let me know. I honeymooned there Quote: Originally Posted by britmitros Hi! I am recently engaged and looking into a St. Lucia wedding! 7. Such a precious idea, coco! Really beautiful and the more items you have that you can treasure even after your wedding day, the better
  8. Hey CindyG, Congrats on your wedding! The main (and as far as I know...only) swimmable beach in Cabo is Medano Beach. There are tons of hotels to choose from depending on if you want more of a swanky/DJ Pool Party celebrity-ish hotel like ME by Melia or more of a timeshare hotel (and lots in between). Here are a few pics of Medano Beach! Pueblo Bonito Blanco hotel pictured here:
