  1. Oh Jamie5280 I am so sorry for you Did you have any jewelry scheduled on your homeowner's insurance policy? It typically needs to be written in separately (and there are extra fees on an annual basis). Usually (from my previous life being an insurance agent), policies will only cover a certain percentage of contents and sometimes excludes jewelry, but definitely check with your agent. Ugh, so sorry about this but the bright side is you have everything that you are wearing AND the fact that you and fiance are safe and sound. Keep your head up
  2. Congratulations! Thailand is absolutely amazing. I was in Bangkok, Phuket and Koh Phi Phi. You're going to have an amazing location to work with!
  3. Aw you're so sweet and I'm so glad it helped calm you down I completely understand. Planning a destination wedding is a thrilling, unforgettable, completely worth it but at times an overwhelming experience. It definitely is giving us something to really look forward to and the fact that we'll get to feel like we've just gotten married all over again...priceless!
  4. Hi pfeiffla! It's an amazing experience and I'm actually headed down to do mine with Del Sol Photography (my wedding photogs) this November! I wrote a bit about it as well in case you're interested! Trash the Dress In my case, we're heading down to Playa del Carmen about a year and a half after we had our destination wedding to celebrate with a TTD session. It's another excuse to put on a wedding dress and capture some incredible moments! It's also another reason to get back to your destination if you aren't able to do it right after your wedding! Here are a few images too
  5. If anyone is looking for custom jewels, feel free to check out my FB page and my site. I design with Swarovski crystal, glass beads, shells, stones, metals and beyond. Anything and everything can be customized from barefoot jewelry, bracelets, necklaces, bouquet jewels, hair accessories, etc. Feel free to also check out my reviews from other BDWF brides!
  6. WOW! Great job! Now that is a huge accomplishment and a great thing to check off the list
  7. Aw thank you! Glad it helps and yes, the soft shirts are definitely the way to go!
  8. Love that look of the crisp white ethereal curtains against the sea...beautiful! If you're looking for some more photos, here's a Del Sol slideshow where you can see some different areas as well! http://www.delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=396. Happy Planning!
  9. SOOO excited for you that you got your confirmation! Can't wait to design your accessories! This will be fabulous
  10. One more important thing to add. If you do buy your girls any shirts, I would HIGHLY suggest ordering the "Ladies T-shirt" from Vistaprint. I ordered one to wear for {Red-i} and it's sooo soft! It's hard to see the details here and let me know if you need any other "real" photos of it to see the style, but here's what it looked like just on the Vistaprint site:
  11. Here are some pics that have been requested by ndvidul of the shirts that we gave only to our bridal party at the welcome dinner (while they were already dressed for the dinner so there wasn't any risk of them actually wearing them AT the dinner One thing I will caution against is these shirts were not soft (in any way shape or form). It was more for the novelty (and the guys actually wore them). You can see what my bridesmaid Kay did as we got ready for the wedding to make it "wearable" while getting her hair and make up done Back of the shirts said the following: Ladies (Back): Name Beach Angel 007 Chelsea & Eric's Wedding Riviera Maya, Mexico June 19, 2010 Guys (Back) Name Makin' It Happen Chelsea & Eric's Wedding Riviera Maya, Mexico June 19, 2010 Eric presenting our friend with his "Stay away from this man" t-shirt with his own face on it: Guys at the pool the day of the wedding as we were at the spa getting glammed up: ) KKay's version of the shirt while getting ready, LOL
  12. Hahahahha, Coco, you're a girl after my own heart! Please let our husbands never find each other's names on PS3/XBox...or we're in trouble XOXO
  13. Hey Avens! If you'd like a custom piece, I design customized jewelry for brides and bridal parties all of the time This way you can make it exactly what you want, or if you want to send me pics of your dress I'd be happy to make some suggestions You don't have to settle for pearls if that's not what you want! It's your wedding and you should LOVE your jewels
  14. Thanks merrylee! I was watching CNN this morning and they started talking about the Riviera Maya/Playa del Carmen. The news broadcaster and meteorologist were saying how much the LOVED the area and guess what else got a shout out...MOON PALACE! Thought about you girls immediately! LOL
  15. Thanks dominiqueamber! Throughout my travels I love buying components to design jewelry and the vintage-theme is definitely one of my favorites! The luggage would definitely be great to incorporate into the theme and a great idea for OOT bags (as long as you can find something lightweight to transport! Vintage glam ROCKS!
  16. Aw leenancy, the same exact thing happened with my sister in law! So excited for you to become an auntie! As the time got closer my sister in law became so depressed that the rest of our family was coming but once she had her baby she was ecstatic. Congratulations and remember to save them an OOT bag!
  17. Oh, one more thing (maybe for an engagement shoot or something), vintage luggage always helps the whole Old Hollywood glamour jet-set look! Vintage Glam With the shows Pan Am & Mad Men, something that always catches my eye along with the clothing and the jewelry is what they're carrying in their hands as far as purses or luggage
  18. Yay Julie! Good for you! Can't wait to see the finished product! Great idea, Jwed!
