  1. I would HIGHLY suggest anyone who has purchased them ahead of time to test them out before you go. You don't want to be in a bind if you're trying them on the big day. Arrange a date with your fiance, go to dinner and dancing and throw on some lashes for the night! :-)
  2. Very cute choices, girls! If you're looking to add either sparkle or beachy-chic-ness to your look from the ceremony to reception, barefoot sandals are a GREAT option! All of us were a bit nervous with a sand aisle and losing our balance, so these were ideal as we floated down the aisle. They can be worn with and without flip flops, sandals and heels to change up your look (while still being super comfy!) My bridesmaids didn't take theirs off for the entire night (and we all still wear them on vacations and around the pool years later!)
  3. WOW! What a great and thorough review!! I loved Le Reve as well (we did our TTD there) and agree completely with all of the amazing comments. Such a hidden gem in the tropical jungle! Also, we stayed at El Taj Condo Hotels (sister property of Porto Playa) and it was also incredible! Condo Hotels are amazing and I'm not sure if you got a chance to visit Indigo Beach (cafe right outside of El Taj directly on the beach) but it's a MUST when you go back! Relaxing on the beach beds was amazing and I'm pretty sure if you order drinks, you can stay there as long as you'd like! A few pics from Le Reve + my review HERE! 4. Hey Everyone! One of the bride (and her bridesmaids) bridal that I designed jewelry for was recently married at Dreams Cancun, so I thought you might all like to see the paradise where you'll be saying your "I Do's"! Her Del Sol pics are phenomenal and they show a bit of the room where she and her bridesmaids are getting ready, the gazebo for the ceremony and her reception :-) Best of luck to all of you and please let me know if you have any other questions! XOXO
  5. If you're on the fence about a TTD, I would highly suggest checking out my posts. The first talks about the planning (1 year after being married as an anniversary gift to ourselves) as well as the dress shopping! I didn't use my wedding dress but instead found one that was affordable and made it out of the cenote + sea completely undamaged! 6. Such a super gorgeous bride you are Kelly! You rocked your jewels and the shoot! Super va va voom!
  7. Did you see these ravishing red beauties brgephar? The bride incorporated it into bridesmaids dresses, her orchids in her hair, the ceremony decor and her shoes!
  8. Hey Ladies! As a destination wedding bride, it was very difficult for me to narrow down favorite colors for a palette. I wasn't completely sure what I wanted beyond a beach chic look. I ended up having my bridesmaids wear turquoise dresses and added pops of colors with the flowers and the men's ties. Now, I get to work with brides choosing these delicious colors and I LOVE seeing them in photos and of course the jewelry! I'm attaching some great images below to help show what these color variations look like with a paradise background! Hopefully they help a little bit when it comes to envisioning what things are going to look like :-) Turquoise +Sand w/ natural beach-inspired jewelry: Colore Palette: Lipstick PInk with fuschia + white pops of jewelry: Colore palette: Red + White Seafoam Green: Adding color in your bridal look at the reception! 9. Great idea Tibbetts2B! Trust me, the sun, the fun, the umbrella filled drinks and overall excitement will have your friends + fam worn out!! :-)
  10. Hi Shay4966, Thanks! Del Sol definitely does an incredible job! Photography GENIUSES! We did our TTD 1 year later as an anniversary gift to ourselves since we did our wedding week with friends and fam and then a honeymoon in St. Lucia. It gave us something additional to look forward to that was wedding-related a year later!
  11. Oh you're so right CondesaAzul! Sorry about that everyone - but at least you can see some fabulous pics from a Dreams wedding (albeit it's a different property!
  12. I definitely second the Groupon comment! They are always running deals as well as mydealbag.com. I wore mine for the wedding, TTD and I get them for events when I want to add extra POP! They were awesome for the wedding because that entire week, I could go without eye makeup (which is nice in the sweltering heat when there are still photos being taken all week! Wedding Day (front angle): From afar - still full and black! TTD 1 year later (hence the dark hair!)
  13. Here are some really fun POPs of color in bridesmaid's dresses!
  14. Hey RobynKelly, While I can't tell you specific times of day, I'll show you some photos from a bride a few months ago at Dreams Riviera Cancun while the sun melted down...so beautiful! She had a gazebo ceremony as well
  15. Congrats EmilyT! If you're looking for next steps on the fun stuff, here's an article that may help! What style of dress did you get?! I Love My Wedding Dress, What’s Next?
  16. Hey Tibbetts2b! Congratulations! We had the same range of ages in our group! I think it depends on the amount of time that you're there. We considered booking outside excursions but some of our guests didn't get there until Wed/Thur and the wedding was Saturday. We wanted them to feel relaxed but still entertained, so we did things like a scavenger hunt around the hotel (hilarious) and organized a Welcome Dinner on Thurs once we knew everyone was going to be around. We drank and danced at the little club every single night and I have to say that a ton of our favorite memories were made with our group in that little place! Nightclub: Someone will have to chime in here because from what I remember, I think it's only open until 1am? Not positive, but it's not open super late. With everyone starting so early with cocktails in the pool, lunch, drinks at dinner and then the club - believe me when I tell you people will have very full days so I wouldn't be too worried that the club isn't open until super early in the morning. It might be a good idea to look into a trip into Playa one of the nights and have that pre-organized if you're looking for something like that. I was so worried about the guests not having enough to do, but it turns out when you get friends and fam all in one place who have never met each other, they become friends in a day and everyone has a blast. The resort is a little secluded though, so if all else fails - book a night or a day off grounds. Good luck! Needless to say, our group liked to have a good time :-) Here I am with my best friend:
  17. So so gorgeous, Brenners!!! If you have any additional that show the jewelry/hair flowers, please feel free to email any to [email protected]!
  18. Sounds great, FuturemrsD! I think you're going to be surprised how FAST 12 months actually goes! I know I was! Here's a fun little compilation to show you some additional styles...and of course the Barefoot Bombshell Club! Happy Monday!
