  1. My dress (Amy Michelson) is 4,000 retail and bought it for $900 as a sample! Yippie for sample sales
  2. I am in the same boat as you are, I don't really wear much makeup. I am having a friend do it but she is a semi makeup artist in town! But she still wants me to pick out stuff and I have no idea. I feel the other brides on here have had great experiences with make up and hair stylists at the resorts. They have even done trial runs to test out the looks. Good luck lady.
  3. Thanks for all of youe help ladies..............Shopping alone is fun but has its downfalls.
  4. I ended up buying number one then I found an amy michelson dress that I fell in love with! Yippie It is on the show us your dress thread.
  5. Ok so I ended up buying a different dress than I wanted. I love it sooo much. Most of the dresses I have loved are pretty and seem ok on me but I feel that they are boring on me. Here are the links to my dress shopping experiences. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...y-dress-61432/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ng-pics-60986/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ad-pics-46711/ So I found this one yesterday in AZ and I feel in love with it. It is an Amy Michelson dress. The name of the dress is Swoon which I also love and I got it for 75% percent off. $4000 dress for $900. Whooo hooo. It is a little dirty because it is a sample but noting a little cleaning can't take care of. So excited!!! Here are the pics of me and the model. I might leave the tie in the front out...depends if I can find a flower on extcy that matches rather than the bling thing. What do you think? Would a flower look good?
  6. I bought number 2! Yippie! I will post more pics in the dress thread
  7. After all the crazy shopping and resort research a actually feel like I have gotten somewhere. The resort (Princess mayan Riviera) had our date book but we really wanted the resort so we waited and the date opened up at 5pm..great time but I didn't really care about the time. And I also found and bought my dress. U went in for one dress...and it was the only one left in the southwest so I had to fly to pheonix to try it on. I ended up falling in love wit& another dress before I even put the one I came for on. It is simple....yet elegant. Beachy yet not too girly....plain but not boring. Here it is. You can see but it has an open back. I am so excited the hard part is done.

  12. we got screwed into a 1 o' clock wedding........now I am actually really excited about it! It will give us more time to celebrate........less pressure about having a reception.......I wont have to wait allllllllllll day to see my new husband! The chances of everyone showing up hammered is lower.........People wont have to sit around the resort and wait for a wedding to start! I love it and now am really exciited! There is positive in everything, we just have to find it. Yay!
  13. The Destination wedding web site that your on has amazing Travel Agents. They are a good start. Most of the hotels in Mexico offer beach front ceromonies so your in luck there. I was looking to not have a beach front ceromony and found that I was more limited to resort choice. I would choose location in mexico first and then venture out from there. There are so many resorts to choose from and many allow children and have lots of activites. Large groups will often require a private reception another thing I am running into because the resturaunts at the AI's usually won't "group" off sections over 50. This website is so helpful and will really help with your planning! Good luck and happy planning!
  14. Here are some pics I found........not sure if they are on the web site
  15. SO I am going on my final dress shoping excursion tomorrow! So excited! I have to make a decision after tomorrow. I was reading an article about dress shopping tips and it said to only try on about 10 dresses your you will get confused.......well I must be confused then because I think I have tried on like 50 dreses. LOL I like them all for different reasons. I still don't kow what I want. I will come back tomorrow with lots of pics! Yippie
