Oh and forgot to say that there are some super great deals out there on dresses. Most of them at David's Bridal are in the range from $300-$600 plus there is a huge sale going on for $100 off. But they have them all the time so don't feel pressured in buying right now if it isn't a good time.

Good luck, I went on my first dress shopping trip on Monday all alone. It was great. You will like some, hate others and love some. If you don't like any oh well dont stress it is only your first trip. After the first trip you get a better understandking of what looks good and what you are looking for so it created a whole net internet session of dresses I loved that I didn't expect to be looking for. Have fun and post pics of some of the dresses.

I know exactly what your saying. My new favorite comment is "ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO GO THROUGH WITH THIS? lol Luckly my mother knows me well enough to know that once I make up my mind about something I do it. My FI's mother keeps saying "SO.......what do you parents think about you getting married in MEXICO?" They act like it is another planet. So we decided to price plane tickets to a local US for a wedding located at some random city that noone would every choose to visit on there own, hotel and rentacar and food and entertainment and the price came to to be more that the mexico trip. I want to sent the side by side comaprisons but that probably wouldn't be very nice. But like you I am sick of the stupid complaining. Everyone should be thanking us for not picking some stupid boring place to get married.

So I found out that many of the dresses I love (Essence of Australia and Ella Bridal) are having a trunk show in San Diego the very same weekend I will be there visiting a friend and her new baby that is due any day now. I know nothing about Trunks shows, I dont even really know what they are. It is from 10-5. How much time should I plan on being there? Are new styles and old styles found at Trunk shows? Are the dresses all samples? Can you buy at the show? Thanks

Ok so I found a store in Palm Springs (about 3 hours away) that has the dress and another one that I love! I wish I could leave work right now any drive out there and put it on. I am a very instant gratification person

Yea I am def still on the prowl. I liked the first for its simplicity, I really just had to slip it on. I was so confortable in it. I honestly didn't even feel like I was in a wedding dress. I tend to not like frills and fancy. But I was plesently suprised with the last one. Here is a pic of one of the dresses that I love so much and want to try on. The top is very much like the tafita one (last one) But the botom and the material is much like the first one

All of you look so beautiful in your Maggies. I love this designer. I tried on so many maggies yesterday and it was like I was doing something wrong. lol None of them fit my body right. I love the styles but not the way they fit me. Oh well, I am glad they look beautiful on you all.

Great dresses and not to girly

So there is a dress I love that is not sold anywhere I can travel to reasonably. Has anyone bought a dress online with out trying it on? I tried on so many Maggies today but they fit me really weird, all of them. If Maggies fit me weird what if this brand does too. Anyone have experience with purchase without trying on?
