Facebook has a great VIM fan page.. I have posted some stuff on there such as questions. It has a lot of information and pictures. Not so many reviews but a lot of Q and A

I can't believe they are not going just because they are not interested!! That's crazy! I mean that is their son and they are being stubborn! They will for sure regret it! The planning is going ok for me. I am in the process of getting my invites out. And am trying to book my flight and room. That is about it. Still have to get my dress and buy the stuff for the bags.

I mentioned the same thing to my parents.. said that we would do all the paper work here before we go and then do the symbolic there.. they about flipped out, saying 'whats the point then?' and 'then why dont we just go down to city hall with you and not even go to Mexico'. Yeah, they are not hot on the idea of a destination wedding in the first place and for me to say that was like whoa! I do not think there is an difference from what I read.

So Ariadna just emailed me after I was upset about the Lobster Pot.. she nows says that if the wedding was booked prior to July 15th then they will waive the surcharge. Also she said that to bring an outside photographer it is not only $75 (day pass) instead of $200 (vendor fee). I hope she stays by that becasue 75 is a lot different that 200!!!!

Soooo according to the VIM facebook page, there are changes happening at the VIM. Apparently, the Lobster Pot now charges a surcharge of $20 for their lobster dishes. Also, the coolers of beer and floaties that were on the beach are now gone. That is as much as I gathered on facebook. I'm not sure if anything else has been taken away. This happened on July 15th. So the resort says that if you booked your trip prior to that date then they will waive the surcharge. I emailed my WC about this. Since I have not booked my trip yet BUT have booked my wedding, then assumingly this fee would be waived for us as well since we booked our wedding based on the amenities offered. She said not the fee would no it will not be waived. Just wanted to give you girls a heads up. I am very dissapointed. It's just the princible of it all.

We came across Cecilia on this form. I saw some of her pictures in a wedding review and just loved them.. for some reason I just knew that would be our photographer as weird as that is. I would definitly look into Sascha! He was our 2nd choice.. and he always gets great reviews! So I got my inivtes in the mail yesterday and can not wait to send them out! Jiggy -The outside vendor fee is $200.. at least it is for the photographer. Miss - Yes they are!! Yayy!! We will be there 7-14. The plans are coming along. I still feel like everything is so far away so I am very unmotivated. We got the deposite down on hte photgrapher and I just ordered the invites. How about you

I am in the process of booking my photographer. I am using Cecilia Dumas.. she has great reviews and the price is good! She wants a 10% down payment to reserve the date. She asked me to wire the money to her bank and gave me the account number and such. Has anyone ever wired money before? How does it work? I'm assuming this in not weird to wire money to vendors, is it?
