I'm so nervous it's unreal.

I haven't inqured furthur, but I just thought if you and some of your guests were also considering this, we could see about all going the same night possibly to get a better deal on the bus rental? Just an idea Only 4 months to go!! Krystal hey Krystal, great to have you back on here that sounds great - we will definitely be doing one night into Cancun before our wedding (7th May) probably on the 5th (and day and a night to recover!!) so that would be great! what date is it that you get to the resort again and your wedding date? we arrive on the 2nd and get married on the 7th, then fly back on the 16th. how are your plans all going? I'm majorly panicking now xmas and NY is over!!!!!!!!

It's really painful and red and a little puffy and I need it GONE by Sunday? Does anyone have any secrets to healing dumb wounds?! moisturise it - it encourages the skin to regrow. Also, don't panic - your photog will just airbrush it right out. you will be totally fine chick

I also want my AHR to be as similar as possible to if we'd got married here, more for all our guests than anything else. But yep, I'm with you

Go with the flyers! why the hell not?! It can represent your funky more quirky side Don't do things just because you feel you should.

I'd say stuff the people who said you shouldn't have a AHR and invite people you didn't invite to the wedding - your wedding, your way! (what is it with weddings and people thinking we all want their opinions??!!) re: the NYE idea, personally, I wouldn't, just because I know lots of people that spend it with their families who wouldn't necessarily be invited to the AHR etc. NYE is or can be, a big deal to some people. I would imagine though there would be plenty that would love to do it if they are the people that would already be going out or those just staying in on their own.... not really helpful I know!! Your call!!

did you make an entrance for your AHR?
~Katie~ replied to Tilly in the Sun's topic in At Home Reception (AHR)
we are going to mingle with guests whilst having welcome drinks and photos, and then everyone will go inside for the sit down meal, which is when we will make our 'entrance' and be announced formally we will be in our wedding attire again as well and so will the BMs, best man etc etc. we wanted to make it so for everyone else, it was as if they'd just missed the ceremony part. -
It doesn't sound like you want one, so don't. This is your wedding and you have it how you want it. By the sounds of things it's going to be more hassle than it's worth and you're not going to invite too many people anyway. Why don't you organise a meal for when you do get back for those people that you do want to see? If you have different people from different groups that you don't want mixing, you can just organise different meals. That way as well, you don't pay for everyone....just ask them if they'd like to meet up and go for a meal when you're back so you can all see each other - all it's going to cost you is the price of the meal for you and your hubby.... Just another idea

i'd go with the chip option - that way you won't be fretting about people not getting their free drinks and you can relax and enjoy it all. a good job for the BM or GM!! if you're having a receiving line, you could have someone stood just off to the end so as people pass through, they can be given their tokens. Good luck!

I am wearing my dress again (how many brides get to do that??!!) but my dress is appropriate for both as I'm not getting a typical beach wedding dress. If maybe you don't think you could wear yours to your reception, get on Little Coral: Professional of Wedding Dresses, Bridal Growns, Bridesmaid Dress, Flower Girl Dress, Ice Skating Dress, Mascot Costume, and Spiderman Suit. Cheap. Wholesale discount and Custom Made Order World Wide. Free Shipping as they have loads of cheap wedding dresses on there and you wouldn't even notice it on your budget!! Good luck with whatever you decide!

AHR/Stag and doe venue bankrupt!!
~Katie~ replied to Tilly in the Sun's topic in At Home Reception (AHR)
I know it doesn't seem like it now, but this will be one of those things that 'make' your wedding story when you retell it in years to come...and with a happy ending as you will still be getting married, and it sounds like all your family and friends are all pulling together for you - it will make it all very personal and probably mean more to everyone. I'd be going mad too, but there is always a silver lining. -
