  1. I don't think it is tacky at all, especially if these people are big drinkers and your bar bill at the end of the night ends up being absolutely outrageous. I know that you are inviting them to celebrate with you and all but you have to draw the line somewhere. Not everyone can afford to do everything for your guests. It's like saying inviting them to a DW and not paying for their costs is tacky. Paying for 4 drinks is generous enough.
  2. From all the divorces I've heard about, the women keeps her ring. Some pass it down to their daughters if they have any, or have it made into another piece of jewelery-such as a necklace. Others pawn it lol. I guess it is up to the couple, but as many others said, it was given as a gift, therefore it should be yours to keep.
  3. Those are very nice! I'm sure the guests will love receiving them. Thanks for the ideas!
  4. Hey I'm thinking of having orange BM dresses, but I haven't done much looking yet. I have found these at David's Bridal that I thought were cute, but I have not seen them in person so who knows how the color really is... David's Bridal - Cotton sateen strapless dress with ruching and in seam pockets.
  5. Thanks for all the welcomes! I have already realize this is a great place for so much information!
  6. Those are awesome! Thanks so much too for posting the information and costs. I have been looking for this information
  7. I am constantly changing my mind about this, but at the moment I am thinking of honeydew and a light orange (maybe with a hint of gold to it). We'll see if I actually stick with that though Good luck in choosing. It's tough!
  8. Wow that's awesome! Great idea--I'll have to keep it in mind for when I start making mine.
  9. Hey everyone I am just wondering if anyone has any information at all on Siesta Key. I have never been there, but from what pictures I have seen it looks beautiful. Our wedding date is September 3, 2010--I know, it's Hurricane season but we have chosen that date because it is our 5th anniversary and I'm just hoping the hurricanes will stay away that day. Is there a location in Siesta Key that someone c ould recommend? Also, is there a good time of day in Septmeber that would be good for the ceremony--a time not so hot and sunny?? Recommendations on places to stay, people to work with, restaurants, etc. lol I'm just wanting someone to give me any info at all. Thanks!!
  10. Hey I don't have any helpful information for your situation, but I wanted to say I am also looking at the Siesta Key area for a DW. I am in the process of picking a package or a coordinator--not sure which one either. Good luck with your planning though!
