    Thanks for the info...this is definitely something I will consider (going with the free wedding) because alot of my guests are backing out of coming with us and why pay for a wedding package if I don't have the guests to accomodate.

    We had originally chosen Dominican Republic but alot of my family members have been there numerous times. I kept going back to the Riu in JA...with alot of research and talking to people we finally decided to book with Riu in JA. There is only my aunt and uncle that have been to JA at a different resort of course. They loved it so much! Also the price that I was given by multiple TA to go to Dominican vs. JA, it was alot cheaper to go to JA - which sold me right there and then.

    I will have to prepare myself to relax and work on "island time" lol I am always go-go-go all the time...it will be nice to shift down a few notch and relax.

    I am not sure either what to give as wedding favors, what I might do is wait until we have our wedding reception back home to give them out. We are flying with Sky Service and our luggage weight is very limited

    Looking forward to reading the pros and cons on this topic! I almost sure that I will purchase my flowers there for the main reason that we are flying with Skyservice and luggage weight is limited.

    I couldn't agree more with KristieF...I had chosen a TA because the price was cheap but her services were the dumps. Just before I went ahead to book, something was telling me to look for another TA. I am soooooo glad I did, not only because my TA services are wonderful BUT the price was alot cheaper then my first choice and she even got another cheaper price the day everyone booked. I am one happy bride

    After reading a few posts, I was getting worried about the transfer but my TA assured me that is was included in our AI package. We were also worried about not having any a/c for the long ride to the resort...thanks for the information!!
