Welcome, LaRomanaBride! I think you have the earliest wedding date out of all of us, so hopefully you will be able to give us some great advice based on your experience after your wedding!! I am also doing the free package with an upgrade (paying per person) for the private ceremony, but what you mentioned with the $1000 plus tax flat rate is interesting... I didn't know such an option existed! There have been a lot of pics and info posted throughout this thread so I hope you find it useful!!

I chose pretty much the same package. I was considering doing the cocktail hour in addition ($8/pp), but if it comes down to budget crunch that will probably get cut.

Woohoo! Congrats, Andrea! I tried to book mine for 4pm but Tiara put it for 4:30pm, so I'm not sure if they already have 'set' times. I've also heard that things tend to get started on 'Dominican Time' so I'm expecting it to probably not start until 5pm or so. I don't want it to go any later for fear of losing light during the picture time!

So this weekend, we went to London (Ontario) for Western Homecoming. We had bought some cool Western gear and had a bunch of cool freebies that I couldn't wait to use... I ask FI to hold the bag as we're checking out of the hotel, and what do you know?! HE LEFT IT IN THE LOBBY The hotel of course can't find it anywhere, everyone in the hotel was there for homecoming, so someone probably grabbed after we left... But...at least it wasn't something more important like my luggage or something, but still!!! ugh...

That's a LOT for 1 morning! I think a drink after work is in order Hopefully everything will work out. If she is acting like this, I'm sure everyone will agree it's best that she doesn't come to the wedding. And how about your bouquet? Have any pics yet? lol

GREAT thread! Thanks for posting! I have been having a weight loss competition with 2 of my bridesmaids (started 2 weeks ago and pot is $100 to the winner) and so far I'm in 2nd place... So aside from my super sleek dress, I have cash on the line here! I have to admit I haven't been as good as I could, but from here on out, I'm determined to slim down and tone up!! Our wedding days are a once in a lifetime opportunity to look absolutely fabulous, so next time we pick up that cookie (my personal weakness!) or chips or anything white (bread, rice, pasta) or creamy (mayo, dressing), think about your hips/butt/thighs/muffin top/flabby arms, whatever and step away! We can do this, ladies!

Oooh, I'd be interested in hearing your response from them and their rates. I've tried to contact the photographer that someone posted earlier (NinPhotography) but I got a bounceback from their server... I am still trying to convince one of our photographically gifted guests to be our wedding photographer, but I don't think he wants the pressure! lol Otherwise I'm thinking that flying our own photographer down might be the other only option...hopefully someone that will do it for a free trip!
