  1. Everything I've ordered from Vista print I've loved. You gotta keep an eye out for the best sale, though. On the same day I've had things in my cart for 25%, 50% and 75% off. It just depends on what coupon you use.
  2. We're doing Hawaiian lauhala gift boxes filled with Hawaiian cookies. Our place card holders are turtles, which the guests can also take home....think we're also gonna do some personalized mints....I want to do so much!
  3. "You're the one I love" by David Gray. It's just about the only romantic song my FI can stand!
  4. We're not having a wedding party - it's going to be a small wedding and I don't want to deal with the stress of it! I also just want my FI and I in the pics with the minister - no one else standing off to the side! I have always wanted a simple wedding!
  5. Those are perfect! I'd never thought of cups. Good idea!
  6. I'm getting married in Maui in August, and we're staying at a condo and on our invites telling our guests where we're staying and suggesting all of our guests stay at the same condo complex. I've reserved it through VRBO is Vacation Rentals By Owner - on that website you can rent the condo directly from the condo owner so it's usually a lot nicer and less expensive. I LOVE staying at a condo over a hotel. The one we stay at is right on Sugar Beach, so you can wander out to the beach in the morning with your coffee. With a condo you can grocery shop, make breakfast each morning (fresh pineapple!), bbq by the beach - it just feels more homey to me.
  7. Oh my gosh I love them! The envelope for your STD boarding pass is so great - what awesome colors!
  8. I loved your review! I'm getting married in Maui in August and i just love when I see stuff about Hawaii! Your reception set-up was absolutely amazing! I'm blown away at how beautiful your pictures are. You did a fantastic job!!!
  9. Congratulations! I visited the Seawatch in May (I am having my wedding reception there on 8/4/10) and it was beautiful! The sunset was fantastic. My sister and I just stood there and looked at the view and could not tear ourselves away. There are several brides on this forum who have had there wedding receptions there and they all say really good things. Oh, and I didn't eat there, but my brother had dinner there when he was in Maui on his honeymoon and said it was delicious!

Congrats Katie! I'm thinking of having my reception at Seawatch, and hear such great things about it from other brides on this site!
  11. Susan, Congrats! I visited the Fairmont in Wailea and met with the WC and she was fantastic. She was kind, helpful and full of suggestions (which I needed). Although I decided on the Marriott Wailea, the ceremony site and reception sites at the Fairmont were beautiful. The ceremony site was near the water which I loved. I only wandered around the Grand Wailea, and didn't meet with their WC or see the wedding sites, but everything there is amazing. My only advice is to research the locations on the grounds they offer to determine if they would accommodate your group. I only have 25 people attending, and the spot I loved at the Fairmont for my reception (that was closest to the ocean) was meant for a larger group (and had a higher $$$ food/beverage minimum than I was willing to pay with such a small group). I realized very quickly that each resort has a number of options for ceremony sites and reception sites, but the sites are meant to accommodate different sized groups. Hope that helps! I LOVE this forum and couldn't plan my Maui wedding w/o it!!
