  1. TA Maureen gave me some great tips...one of which we are going to use is the having the children participate in the sand ceremony. Also, I have gone online and did a search for sand ceremony and vows including children. There are some really cute ones out there. One of which that i really like refers to waves and tides...thought it really fit in with the beach theme! :-) It is refered to as a beach unity ceremony...
  2. I think we may just do a welcome cocktail hour. I want people to enjoy themselves and the resort. :-)
  3. I used cardstock, mainly because i wanted it to look more like a real boarding pass. We used texture with the background colors. They turned out really cute though! If you go into the boarding pass thread there are quite a few tips on what everyone used in making thiers...
  4. Wow, everyone has such interesting jobs!! I am an engineer, currently working on the space shuttle program. Have had a blast being on the vehicles and watching the launches...sad it is almost over! :-(

  8. I would also say the BDW TA's. I am working with Maureen, and she is awesome!! They know more about the weddig facilities and being able to help you get ahold of the WC at the resort. I tried a TA from out area and about pulled my hair out. It has been soooooo easy with Maureen! good luck!
  9. I love them!! Your monogram looks great on the towels, they will love them!
  10. That is too cool!!! I love that show, I probably would not even be able to speak! Good luck with your dress shopping!
  11. Great find!! Thanks for sharing, going to order them and a few other things that are on sale!
  12. That is a really great idea Maureen. I really think that would show them we are a family. What are you thoughts on them standing on FH side?
  13. Ok so here is our issue, well kind of issue. And truthfully I thought I had it all figured out and now I am questioning myself! So here it goes, my FH has 2 teenage boys (13 & 14) that we want to incorporate into the ceremony. He is having his brother and his cousin stand up for him, I am having my cousin and my best friend (BF is a guy). So needless to say we are not even on guys and girls anyways. At one time I was going to have them walk me down the aisle, but I think my mom would really love to do that. So then i was thinking we could just have the boys on my FH's side during the ceremony. Is there any other way anyone can think to incorporate them or make them feel like they are a huge part of the wedding? We are going to be addressing our invites and i have seen a few girls on here mention their kids in the invite...not sure if we should do that since they are quite a bit older. Our wedding is very non-traditional for many reasons, but one of which is this is the second for both of us. Any advice or should I stick with my original thought of just having the boys on his side...??
  14. I like those a lot!! Love the pop of red here and there. Very classy and elegant yet fun!
  15. Your set up looks beautiful!! I cannot wait to see the rest of your pictures!!
  16. Congrats again! I am curious of 2 things... 1. Where are your pics girl?!? :-) 2. Did you get married at the gazebo or on the beach? we are getting married on the beach and wondering about decorations. Either way, did you bring decorations or did you have Elsie do something for you? Thanks...
