  1. Hi Scubadiva! I too am sailing on the Ruby Princess in 2010 and will be getting married on St. Thomas. Our ceremony will be taking place on Bluebeard's beach. We've also decided to go with a local wedding coordinator- Leslie of Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas. So far, everything has gone really well. I'm looking forward to setting sail in Jan! We have also made arrangements through Princess to reserve one of the private restaurants on the ship for our reception meal. I will be sure to share our experience with you and any tips I might have after returning from our cruise.
  2. I too am wondering about the quality of the on-ship hair stylists. I will be on Princess Cruises' Ruby Princess, departing from Ft. Lauderdale, FL on January 9th. I was leaning towards having my hair done on the ship rather than trying to find something local. I'd be curious to hear the reviews.
  3. Hi There! Kerri Halifax, NS Canada BlueBeard's Beach January 12th, 2010 Leslie of Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas Our ceremony is taking place on BlueBeard's beach but we'll be heading back to the cruise ship for a reception dinner in one of the private restaurants
  4. I'd also be curious to hear about other brides' experiences with Blue Glass as I believe they're the photographers that my wedding coordinator uses.
  5. I'm going to wear my dress again for our reception back home. I figure- why not wear it twice? Not many brides get an opportunity to feel like a princess for two days.
  6. I also found a great lanyard/card holder seller on ebay. I haven't received mine yet, as I just placed the order for them this morning, but thought I would share as they offer quite a variety or colours & options. Here's a link to the online store: eBay Store on eBay Canada: Search results for Cell Phone Straps.
  7. Everything looks so great! I love the idea of the lanyard & card holder. I'm going to borrow that for my OOT bags, as it would make the perfect room key holder on the cruise ship. I'm also going to check out the pashmina site- what a wonderful idea!
  8. Hi there! I was so happy to find this forum online- what a great resource for destination brides! Let me begin by introducing myself...my name is Kerri. My Fiancé and I got engaged this past November and we have planned a cruise/destination wedding for Januarary 2010. We will be starting our 10-day cruise aboard Princess' Ruby Princess (departing from FT Lauderdale) and have decided to get married on the island of St. Thomas while we're in port on January 12th, 2010. We'll be getting married on BlueBeard's beach alongside 25 or so of our family and friends. We've decided to go with a starfish theme for our wedding. We've incorporated starfish into our wedding on our invitations, with my hair pins, and our coordinator is working to include this theme in our decor and with our cake. We have been working with a great wedding coordinator and are counting down the days until our cruise begins! I look forward to participating in this forum with you! Kerri
