I'm a high school special ed teacher (learning disabilities) and still look like I'm a high school student, so I know how you feel. My brother was a student at the HS I started teaching at, so it helped that I knew a lot of the kids already. A new life together & a new career...how exciting! Good luck!

Oh no! I hope everything works out for you! What happened with the dress & rings?!

Oh, and my grandparents & older relatives found out from whichever family member called them first to tell them...that's just how my family works lol.

I called my parents & brother (but they already knew he was going to propose) and then we both text all of our friends & family. After that we announced it on facebook....most of my aunts, uncles & cousins are on facebook so we announce pretty much everything on there anyway (engagements, pregnancies, etc).

We used Honeymoon Wishes, and had 2 people use it. I don't know how it works for all destinations, but for a cruise, they send the money directly to the ship as an onboard credit. Two people bought us things off our registry there (an excursion & partial payment towards a couples massage on the ship) and instead of putting the money towards the actual things we registered for, they sent the money to our ship for us to use any way we want. Most people bought things off of our Bed, Bath & Beyond registry instead though.

Thanks ladies. I've been wearing it with the ring guard, but it's annoying and I definitely can't see myself wearing it with the ring guard forever. If I get the diamonds put into a different band, it won't match my wedding band anymore because the diamonds line up perfectly. I'll ask about the balls...maybe they can resize it to a 6 and then put the balls inside. Otherwise, I may have the e-ring and the wedding band combined into one ring.

I've had my engagement ring since February 2009, but I didn't want to give it up to get it resized. I didn't want a traditional e-ring, so my fiance got me a band as an e-ring. It has 5 diamonds going across and I absolutely love it. We even found a wedding band to match it (has 10 smaller diamonds). Two of the diamonds started to come loose so I *FINALLY* gave up the e-ring to get it fixed and have it resized. Well...the jeweler said it can't be resized to a size 5 because the diamonds will pop out! So now I either have to wear the size 7 with a ring guard or figure out something else to do with it.

We're using drawstring backpacks and leaving them blank. Not very beachy, but we have 13 guys going and only 8 girls, so we based the bag style on them since most of the contents are for the ladies.

Definitely not being a bridezilla! I would be disappointed too! That bouquet doesn't look like the one in the picture, and you have every right to demand something be done about it. The flowers *are* nice, but they are not the bright colors you wanted and expected. It's your special day, and you deserve to get what you asked for and paid for!
