Did you book your wedding package already? If you did, then I'd send your Save the Dates as soon as possible to give your guests enough time to save money. If not, send them as soon as you have all of your info. I included a cruise itinerary, payment plan info, our TA's info, payment cards that my TA made, her business card and a save the date magnet (I used business cards and self-adhesive business card magnets) as well as our wedding website address. My TA has a hold on our block of cabins until August 11th, so I wanted to give everyone enough time to decide whether or not they're coming and get their deposits in.

I'm getting married on the Carnival Miracle on 8/19/2010, and have already sent out my Save the Dates. I'll be sending invitations in April, which will also include a final payment reminder for sailing guests. We booked our wedding package last month, and I've spoken to our Carnival WC a few times...she's answered any questions I've had. They use "A Wedding For You" for the ceremony (we're getting married in port in NYC), but I haven't talked to anyone from there yet. There's some pictures of Carnival weddings on the Cruise Critic Wedding/Honeymoon message board.

I just saw that your wedding isn't until 2013....maybe you could start spreading the word by mouth/e-mail now so people can start saving if they need to, and send out your save the dates about a year in advance so people can request the time off of work.

I have endometriosis, and all of my surgeries were for endo. #1 ~ Age 17 ~ Operative laparoscopy #2 ~ Age 18 ~ Operative laparoscopy and Appendectomy #3 ~ Age 20 ~ Operative laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy #4 ~ Age 26 ~ Operative laparoscopy My dentist told me 3 years ago that I need all 4 wisdom teeth out, but I haven't been brave enough to do it!

We're doing an 8 day wedding cruise. We already have 21 people coming and the save the dates haven't even been sent out, so since everyone will be on the cruise with us, we want to do a separate honeymoon. We'll be home from the cruise on August 27th, and I have to be back at work right after Labor Day, so we're thinking of doing our honeymoon during winter break (I'm a teacher).

After seeing what two of my close friends went through when they got married, I knew I wanted a destination wedding. My fiance wanted a traditional wedding, so after 3 very stressful months of attempting to plan a traditional wedding, we sat down and talked about other options. I'm soooo much happier now that we've booked a cruise wedding!

We had to book our cabin on the cruise when we booked our wedding. We're going through a TA, who has 30 cabins blocked for our guests. The deposit is due on August 11th and after that the guests are not guaranteed the rate we have right now. If the price goes down, we'll get the lower price, but if it goes up, anyone who didn't put the deposit down will have to go with the higher rate. Our rate is about $100 cheaper than the rate on Carnival.com. We're also getting every 16th person free, a $100 onboard credit per cabin and a bottle of wine in each cabin because we're doing a group booking. I also don't have to stress about finding out who is booking, because my TA will update that for me.

It doesn't even feel like the end of the school year. I'm sitting here with a sweater on, and this time last year we were melting in our classrooms!

We weren't going to do a registry, but several people have asked so we did one through Carnival, and one at Bed, Bath & Beyond. We put on our website that we don't want a gift, but registered because people asked.
