I used Javier Rojas for my wedding at the Hilton Cancun last week and would recommend him. He is talented, easy to work with, reasonable prices, and has a huge repertoire of music. www.JavierRojas.com.mx Tell him Christina sent you!
I got married last week and I would also recommend Flores Julieta. She has very reasonable prices, is very attentive and customer service oriented, is very pleasant to work with, and also offers services other than flower arrangements.
I just got married last week on 6/12 and I also used Victor Herrera. He went so far beyond our expectations. He and his crew work so hard to get perfect shots and he has such a talented eye. Because some of his other crew members were free on our TTD and wedding day, they came along to the shoot as well...so we got so much more than we originally asked for - just one example of how thoughtful Victor is.
I originally wanted Del Sol, but could afford their prices. We found Victor and got him at over half Del Sol's cost. I was somewhat concerned because there aren't a lot of reviews on him and he isn't as well known...but that's a GOOD thing. He isn't charging outrageous prices and you get extremely high quality work. He's not like other cheesy wedding photographers, he really is an artist.
He did both a Trash-the-Dress shoot and our wedding day. He only has the TTD photos available now (Destination wedding photographer Riviera Maya | Victor Herrera Blog scroll down to June 12).
Be VERY CAUTIOUS if you're using Cancun Flower Shop! Just make sure you stay on top of them from your first point of contact until you officially sign a contract.
Hello all - sorry for the late reply! We are using Victor for our 6/12/10 wedding in the Hilton Cancun. Victor has amazing work for a decent price. He is the "hidden gem" if you will... I also hired Playa Weddings as our videographers and their work is really unique and amazing. When they heard that Victor was our photographer they said "Oh, you have really good taste. His work is great." So for another highly talented and reputable artist/vendor to comment on his work; that means a lot! The services/prices we ended up with for Victor are very close to what he has on his website.
On another note - do any of you have a good florist to recommend? Ours just bailed on us...
We decided to go with Victor as well. He had good prices and really great work. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of reviews on him or people that have used him - i think he's just starting out? Our wedding is actually 6/12/10, a week after yours. good luck!
Hello Hilton Cancun Brides (or Guests),
Can you please share any feedback you have on the wedding reception dinner food at the Hilton Cancun and include any info like: what food did you order, what were the selections available, and how many guests. I'm narrowing down my choices and the only concern I have with the Hilton right now is the food. We didn't have time to do a wedding tasting during out site visit but we had meal at Mitachi Grill and it was just "ok" so we were concerned that this might also reflect the taste and quality of food at the wedding reception.
Please feel free to email me directly if you'd prefer. [email protected]
Thanks in advance!
Hello brides! I'm considering the Hilton and just finished my site visit. Everything was great except the food. I didn't get to schedule a food tasting in time since I contacted Fernanda so last minute prior to leaving for Cancun so instead we went to Mitachi Grill for dinner together to get a sense of the chef's flavors, style of cooking, etc. and my fiance and I were both very disappointed. Of the brides that have already had their weddings, how did your reception dinner turn out? Any recommendations of what to pick (or not pick) and any substitutions/special requests you made for your dinner that turned out well?
Thanks in advance!!
Ok, well we haven't signed anything yet but we're in the works! If all works out, our wedding will be in May 2010. If you have any tips, recommendations, please pass them along and thanks in advance.
Wish me luck!
