AMEN Girls!!!! I have always wanted a Destination/Beach wedding with a few close friends and family only. And yes, i upset a ton of people when they werent invited and my fiance's mom isn't too happy about it either, but again, this is OUR DAY and we are doing exactly what we like, where we like, with who we like, the END!!! Happy Planning..one last thing i remember saying to my family and his...well than give us the $20,000+ to have an at home wedding....and the response Just what we thought!!! There are some great reviews on here about Doremixx, so just word of mouth,they seem very professional, quick response, profession contract and an awesome song list..everything and anything you could possibly want and again,i want my guests to enjoy every minute of there trip and my wedding and request whatever song they want and trust me,he will have it!!! Thanks for the floral tip..not sure what i'm doing yet aside from the teal paper lanterns and brown rose petals.

HELP - I'm really confused on who to tip and how much...i leave for my wedding in less than 60 days and after reading this post,i'm still confused..should I tip everyone that is a part of my wedding: Coordinator, Photographer, Officiant, DJ, Bartenders, Wait Staff, Trio, Hair/makeup? Anyone recently married at any location?? Any advice or "tips", LOL THANKS!!!

HI Hailee - Although I haven't been to the Excellence Riviera Maya, I went to the one in the Dominican last year and it was absolutely gorgeous. AND since we got engaged soon after our Dominican trip and i knew that i wanted a Destination wedding in Mexico, we chose Excellence Riv. Maya and like Ranaya just mentioned..it has a ton of pools, many different restaurants and the beaches look awesome, check out their website, talk to the Wedding Coordintor Ramon, i think you may find it's an easy choice...Good luck!!!!

Also try Barefeet shoes...i'm in NJ and we have two locations, but I got TEAL shoes for my wedding...my colors are brown & teal and they are just adorable..at an awesome price....dyeables would make me nervous too...

OMG...I haven't been on the site for awhile and JUST read & realized that Veronica is no longer there...ahhhhh...should i be worried?? i havent talked to anyone and my wedding is coming up....April 28, 2010 to be exact!!!!! Other than talking to the coordinator, i'm pretty well set....Rings - Check, Dress - Check, Oot Bags Done - Check...Decorations - Check, Cake Topper - Check, Photographer Booked - Check, Dj Booked -Check, Spa Hair Appt. - Check...Am i Forgetting Anything? I'm alittle worried now

YES...super worried about it..no matter how much I diet, eat right and excersice, my body is always off while on vacation. So YES...extremely worried about bloating and for me, excercise usually doesn't help with severe bloating...fingers crossed for all of us

Uggg...soo sorry to hear about your dress fitting/too short. Ironically i CAN relate, went to pick up my dress last night and it was hemmed too short AND crooked...i was mortified..especially since i'm only 5'2" and the dress was sooo long and now I don' t know how they are going to fix it..i would much rather have it dragging in the sand then too short that is just way too unacceptable for me....unfortuantely another bride was there and it was her 5th fitting...to the point they had to get her a whole new dress AND they finally got it right, her wedding is next weekend..honestly..after all you pay for the dress and then another $200+ for alterations...im just sickened Good Luck Girl!!!

Hi Fellow April Brides - I haven't written in awhile, thanks to the holidays and then having my first dress fitting the first weekend of January, but I am happy to report, I FINALLY have guests booking there trips...was getting a bit worried, but we are up to 14 (us including) so that's not too bad, we are only expecting 20-22 total, but i'm just thrilled at 14 right now...have my next fitting scheduled for Jan. 27th, rings to be picked up in Mid Feb/early March and then aside from finishing up the OOT bags...i may and i stress MAY, be almost ready....OMG, 3months, 2weeks and 1 day left...how exciting...hope the rest of you girls are doing well...Also..any other Excellene Riv. Maya brides that week, April 24-May 1??

Add me to the list too girls...had my first and only child at 18 and now for the first time in my life I am getting married, April 28, 2010 and I will be 37, FI is 31 and we will try for a baby thereafter, YES, there are risks and they can be greater but in this day and age women and men take good care of themselves are happier, healthier, etc. etc...you will be fine and like another poster said, be sure to do all the necessary tests and prenatal care, you will be fine Good luck and Congrats!!!

My wedding is at the Excellence April 28, 2010..although I haven't been to this Excellence, I have been to the one in the Dominican and it was gorgeous, and that is what sold us on having our upcoming wedding there....if you do a search on this site you will find other brides married there and learn how great things went and how helpful the wedding coordinator, etc, is...as soon as I get back, i will be sure to post, but i guarantee you won't have any doubts once you learn more about Excellence!!! My biggest wedding stresser has been (like most of you) getting the guests to book and of course $$$ we are paying for the wedding ourselves AND trying to get a house built so everything always seems to boil down to $$$....the dress, shoes, veil, location, dj services, invitations, etc. have been so easy to plan and coordinate...fingers crossed everything else falls into place...remaining hopeful
