  1. Welcome!! We are getting married in Bermuda June 2010 and doing a "recon mission" in October as well. We will be there Oct 14-16 to check out locations, meet with Bermuda Bride, other vendors as well as taking engagement pics. Let me know if I can help w/ anything I've found out so far!
  2. Patrick would love the red one. He likes telling people that he "owns" me now to see what kind of rise he can get out of them!!!
  3. Thanks so much for sharing. My Mom is coming into town this weekend and we are going to two shops on Saturday. Now I'll be sure to capture a Mom and Me dress shopping moment!
  4. I really like the front of dress 3 but don't really care for the back of that dress. All around I would have to pick dress number 2. Best of luck picking the one.
  5. Unbelievable! I don't even know what else to say...... Sounded like you were a pretty kick butt MOH. I would have had a hard time keeping my mouth shut.

  7. My MOH rocks. Today we were both talking about how we want to lose 15lbs by the wedding. We both needed incentive so, she decides that if we place a wager that it will help us out. We are big sports fans. She's a huge Cowboys fan and I'm a Bills fan. The bet is this: If one or both of us don't lose the weight we have to go to the sports bar with the other wearing their teams jersey and cheer their team on. She knows I can't stand the Cowboys, so she knows it'll really give me motivation. I weigh around 140 right now and am 5ft 3 in. Getting down to 125 shouldn't be hard, but it's easier to have motivation. YaY!
  8. Very cool. I think that'll be the hardest thing for me to pick out when the time comes.
  9. I wouldn't get it since it seems very formal. It's ultimately up to you on how much you love it.
  10. Patrick proposed August 4, 2009 after we had played in a scrimmage game and just before his men’s game. The guys were all on the mound pre-game and one of the guys, Erik, called me over to bring the book since I keep score for them. While I ran out, Patrick displayed the ring to the rest of his team. I was oblivious to Patrick’s intentions but took the book out and handed it to them. I started to walk back to the dugout when several people said, "No wait! Come back!". I turned around and there was Patrick down on one knee! It was perfect! Sweat, dust and all! We don't have pictures of the proposal, but here are the pictures taken afterward. Right after the game: Keeping score after the proposal: After the games to celebrate: The flowers waiting at home and close up of my hand w/ the ring.
  11. We are getting married in Bermuda on June 16th 2010 via a cruise from NYC on the NCL Dawn.
  12. AWESOME!!!! Thank you to all of you for writing my script!

  14. My oversized postcards came back from vista print. They looked GREAT! Only thing is, be careful how you design or setup your card. I was worried that some people might think it was an advertisement and I got confirmation that at least one person did. Fortunately they took a second look at it before tossing it out. Maybe I should have gone w/ the normal postcard size. Also, you have to purchase letter stamps for the oversized cards. I used one of their standard layouts because I liked the way it looked.

We went with HA instead of NCL because they had the latest sailing date next year. I wish NCL was still sailing all year round to Bermuda, we really wanted to do thanksgiving but I guess they have not been making enough money sailing out of NY so they have completely changed their schedule next year. Oh well, October will still be great as will June. They really isn't any bad season in Bermuda!! Yep, the Bermuda cruise schedule kinda bums us out too. We were hoping to cruise out of Charleston to Bermuda, but this was the last year as the NCL Majesty is retiring. Since we are in Charlotte that cruise would have been perfect. We are going to Bermuda on an NCL cruise out of NYC this October to check out vendors locations and all that fun stuff. Have you already picked a Planner? Location? Photographer?
