Very cool! Made up words rock by the way! I think you could totally wear that dress on the cruise and it not be too weddingish! I say go for it. Do you have a photographer in mind? Gavin Howarth has some really awesome rates and looks like he does amazing work. We hired Amanda Temple to do our engagement pics while we are there this month and for the wedding in June. Her vision is exactly what we were looking for. -

I am a Bermuda bride to be in June of next year and will be meeting w/ our planner and checking out locations in the middle of the month. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask. We are going via a cruise from NY and getting married on one of the beaches in Bermuda. We also went to Bermuda last year and found that you can get better rates if you stay at inns and guest houses rather than resorts. I can give you more info about that as well if you are interested.

I would start talking to dress shops and looking if I were you. There are certain designers that can get dresses in sooner than 6 months. I heard that Mori Lee has some dresses that they have in stock that may only take 2 months. Also, you could buy a dress off the rack but that could be risky. Explain your situation and don't let them talk you into anything that you are not comfortable with. Good Luck!! And I agree with Christy about the lace up dresses. I've tried several on and it's amazing how you can be a complete size or two different and it's still flattering!

As for registering, I would recommend it b/c otherwise you'll end up w/ gifts that you don't need or do not like. It doesn't have to be announced anywhere but let the parents know so that when someone asks you and they can tell them.
