So on a whim my mom and I decided to go look for wedding dresses for a couple of hours on Friday and after trying on 40 dresses (not kidding- it was ridiculous) I found the perfect dress. It was such a surprise, I didn't think I would find one for a while - and we aren't getting married until June! Oh well I guess just another thing crossed off the list, I love the dress and the veil was perfect and they both were discounted! The dress because it was off the rack~ one of the few in white and the perfect size I only need it altered in the bust! And the veil was discontinued! Anyway I am soo excited!

Im with the majority, I am doing one bag per couple, one for the singles and then putting in extra stuff for the kids.

I love the dress, the back will look great with the sand! I think the white sash- but that is mostly because I can't visualize the other too! When you get the sashes I would love to see the pics!

I know I need to keep it cheap too, we are inviting 200 people (hope they all don't come!) I am only doing a bag per room or couple/family so that should cut down the price a lot. But here are some of the bargains I've found (and I just started looking). Bags - 60 cents each, but I'm not sure what size they are I'm more of a visual person. Gift Tote bag For the contents I am going to buy bulk sizes of pills, band aids, aloe and hand sanitizer then fill up smaller bottles - so far this seems cheaper than buying individual bottles already filled. Oh and I was going to make a personalized puzzle book, you can make the puzzles online with whatever words you want (bride, groom, tequila!) so I don't have to buy those! I'm glad you did this thread though I am looking forward to see some of the deals.

That stinks, I hate when people try to do something nice but it turns out to be a burden on you! This situation kinda happened for my birthday one year and I hated the feeling of not being in control when everything was unraveling. I hope everything goes the best it can and maybe you can have a redo one day without all the drama! Good luck, get drunk and forget all your worries!

Love the dress you are soo lucky to have your aunt make it for you! It looks great on you! As for the strap option you could always just add them for the reception so when you are dancing you're not doing the tube-top-pull-up move! Can't wait for the pics!

My big thing is the cost of dinner and dj and food options for the receptions - I am having the ceremony at a church so the reception is my main concern! Also - my TA gave me the tip to check how many people can sleep in each room - for families with 3 or more kids that might be a problem where they have to get more than 1 room Hope that helps a little

I love the taffeta dress - good to know about the TTD with taffeta though guess I might have to be a 2 dress bride!
