  1. Nia Long: Big Momma's House (had to look that one up!)
  2. Oct. 13 - 7:13 pm, watching Notting Hill & wishing I had some red wine to sip on!
  3. I am also sorry for your loss, I was recently at a wedding where the grooms dad and some grandparents had passed, the best man (his brother) and her MOH lit candles before the ceremony to honor all those that had passed and then during the ceremony the couple used those candles to light their unity candle. Hope that helps a bit, and again sorry for your loss.
  4. I am having 3 separate showers my side, my FI side and my friends are throwing me each one. I think they are only inviting people that are invited to the wedding but I have heard of people who invite people who are not going to the wedding - like church friends or friends of the mothers. I suspect my Grandma might invite some church ladies that are not invited to the wedding. While I am not a huge fan of showers, some people might want to go even if they are not going to the wedding - I think you should let the people hosting the shower make final decisions, then its not on you! Good luck
  5. I hate these decisions! I usually never get the flu shot, but I have already been sick this year! So now I feel like I should get it. I think I am leaning toward getting both shots just because a lot of hospitals are requiring the employees get them. hmmm decisions - I think I might have to ask the doc.
  6. Love them but I just got my earrings!! Good Luck
  7. I agree gold would look best, and I have the same dilemma- my bridesmaids all wanted to match too - it was a struggle to get them to pick out different dresses!!
  8. I just was having this discussion with my FI about weather or not we should get vaccinated. Thanks for all the info!

But you can just have the church ceremony in Mexico and then have the legal ceremony before or after back home - that is what we are doing so we don't have to deal with all that. We are planning on going to the courthouse before the wedding. Hope that helps!
  10. Congrats!! My FI & I just realized that we aren't going to buy a condo as we were planning - so I will also live vicariously through you! Can't wait for the pictures! It will be so fun to see the house transform.
  11. Love them! They look great, I tried to find real touch flowers in my area and had no luck, and I was just thinking about doing my own centerpieces! You make me want to do them!
  12. Good luck, believe me you will have a lot more misunderstandings as the planning process goes by! Do what you want- that's always the answer for everything dealing with the wedding!
  13. I would think that people will still want to give you gifts, especially if they can't make it, or if you have a shower. I would register at one place for stuff that you want, like new bedding or candles, decorations. I have heard a lot of people doing that. Also you could do something different and do the honeymoon registry, a pampered chef registry, registry through your photog. for gift certificates (my cousin did this and it worked great), I have also heard of people doing a registry for non-profit organizations. I know I would want to get you something to celebrate your marriage! And you don't want it to be something you don't want/need. Good Luck!
  14. I would get the word out and ask colleagues, friends and family. I found a lady to do my alterations by asking people at work for recommendations. That way you know what kind of work they do. I wanted to use the fabric from my moms dress to make one for me, but she talked me out of it. Good Luck!
  15. It was within a week I got her response, but I didn't get one the first few times I did a quote. Good Luck!!!
  16. Gorgeous, I love the way it is crisscrossed! Congrats!
  17. Love the challenge - Halloween is my favorite Holiday, I have some good costume pics from over the years, I'll use last years pic, I can't wait for this year, we are going as Wayne's World!
  18. Hi ladies, I took Jacilynda's advice and sent about 3 quote forms to Shavon and I got picked!! I just heard back from Shavon, and she has been super great (I completely changed my order on her). I am about to send my deposit and can't wait to see the flowers!!
