What's the word?! lol Thanks ladies Yes you can still eat at all the hotels, but you dont have the choice to go anywhere for your wedding. I got married at Akumal and we had to pick a restaurant at Akumal for our wedding dinner. As for the dress.... I flew with air transat and they do have garmet bag dimensions, but when I flew they didnt measure. They told me that they do not have closets, I had to put my dress in the overhead compartment, but it ended up being fine. It also says on their website that they do not have closets and gives you the dimensions. The dimensions are small, so i just a regular garmet bag that you can fold in half.

They used a bar by the pool for us, so even though we bought the least expensive package, they still made us different drinks cause they had the booze there. Dont spend money on the other packages. There are other bars close too!

No i was one of the lucky ones that had Claudia booked before they changed the policy and fought to keep her when they weren't going to let us. However, the resort photographers complete photo sessions everyday on the beach with couples and walk around with various animals that you can take pictures with. I saw their work and one of the couples that came to our wedding had a photo session done, and they were very happy with the quality of photos.

Just got back from my wedding and honeymoon. I got married on Feb.4th at Akumal. I have to say Eugenia did an incredible job. There is not one thing that i would have changed. I was married on the beach, went to Dolce Vita for dinner and then had a pool side reception. The whole day was stress free and absolutely beautiful. If anyone has any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them

I am not sure why they are telling you to contact Claudia unless you were already booked with her previously - but I do know Conrado is not there. The new photo studio is in replacement of him. So maybe email her back and ask if you were sent an old form letter in error? Just to try save yourself some hassles..... Yeah they sent me this when I booked my wedding in April. So I'm using this as part of my argument that I should still be allowed to use Claudia, since they had her website on their form, and so I booked her, so i should be allowed to keep her. Until the resort superiors finally send us emails confirming, I'm trying to find anything I can so I can still use her. This is just another thing I have that shows that when we booked a long time ago, they were accepting outside vendors.
