  1. This makes me laugh, I would have done the same thing. Well I'm probably to cheap to buy the $400 pair to begin with, but I would have wanted to, but I totally would have traded them for the cute & cheap ones.
  2. I know I posted this in another thread, but I don't think I have put it with the other dresses. I'm having it made, so it won't look quite the same, but hopefully quite similar. I'm getting scared, but it should be ready soon. Yay!
  3. Placed the order this morning, didn't get a shipping date, but I can't wait to see them! I will definitely share. Pretty much everything else is DIY, this is one of hte only things we have ordered professionally.
  4. I had hoped to use our engagement pics, but we haven't done them yet and not sure when we are going to (a friend is taking the pics), so maybe I will do this with pics of the area. I also plan on using real wedding pics for the AHR. Love the idea!
  5. These towels are awesome! I may have to go check out these and the bags. They look great. Now if I can just find time to get to Walmart.
  6. I have used coupons (as I have mentioned in a few threads) to get stuff super cheap. (i.e. the cheap sunscreen thread--found sunscreen at Target for $1 and used $1 off coupons--just paid tax--someone else found this, but its a great example). I will try to add up all my costs and post them.
  7. I'm going to look into these, they look awesome. I'm not happy with the bags I bought.
  8. I will be checking, I'm not loving the bags i bought. These are cute!
  9. I also need to figure this out. Well I need to buy the supplies too. I'm such a slacker! I will do some searches in a bit, but can I get sand locally or is online the best? I most likely will just buy my own vases to use.
  10. haha I blame this forum for many sleepless nights. First it was the addiction to reading every possible thing. Then it was the stress of thinking about it all. Now its actually doing all the projects. And yet its my favorite thing ever. I love it!!!

I was doing this on the cheap. I know a lot of people in town have them for $5 - $10 a pair. If that's in your budget I would be glad to pick some up and ship them for ya. My fiance's an OU fan (well played there). I would love to surprise him with an OU pair (XXL) if anyone comes across some. I haven't checked ebay yet.
  12. I'm not putting my logo on my flip flops, but i did buy them at kohls super cheap. This weekend they had them for $2.99 for a pack of 2. Slightly more than Michaels, but they are a little better quality (although I honestly don't think it matters) and they had flowers on them. The guys are getting the UT ones I posted about. You can also sign up for an email with Kohls for a $5 coupon, I did this on each email and made my fiance' and mom give me their coupons!
  13. I think it sounds like a great idea too!!! Fitting & fun!
  14. Oh my gosh I love these! I don't even need match books, but this tempts me. I really do love the simplicity and colors. They match my colors too! Awesome!
  15. I'm totally going with the Oh Sh*t Kit. I think its cuter! haha. My grandmother may give me a look, but she'll laugh, she wasn't so innocent in her younger days. Everyone else will much appreciate the Oh Sh*t Kit. I'm also including some other things for accidents, but right now I can't remember what. Haha.
  16. Thanks everyone! I will definitely post pics. I will also post the ebay seller if they turn out good (I hate to refer someone til we know for sure). I don't think its just crazy cheap, but definitely cheaper than most places we have looked. ($175 for 500 cups). They were also $60 for 50 I believe (John is really handling this one), but we decided to just go ahead and order for the reception. I love the design so much I may be squeezing it on some other things (even though I'm trying to wrap up projects). Thanks for all the help!!! Oh I decided I liked the "Wedding Celebration" since that could go for both as well!
  17. Hmm, I have used powerpoint for everything I have ever done with VistaPrint, but I have never used any of Vista's templates. I designed my brochure to go into Vista, but then ended up printing it at home just for the sake of time. I usually go to Vista and find out the dimensions. I then draw a box that size. I usually resize the box larger, but keeping the same deminsions (just to help with quality). For a brochure though, be careful with font sizes and stuff. Wow, I'm not much help. Honestly I guess I just play with things until I get it right, which is not the best answer. Hopefully someone will have better tips!
  18. Thanks everyone! I don't mind sharing a copy, just pm me your email (as long as that isn't against forum rules). The luggage tags came from Walmart. I got this one for the luggage tag and the wide one (with the hole at the top) for my key card holders. I think they are $2.77 for a pack of twelve, but with my coupons I don't think I paid that for them. I got the baggies free with coupons, so I thought it was a fun extra touch! The information was important for me because so many of our guests have never left the country. In fact of the 30 people going I would say that me, my fiance', and 3 of my college friends are the only one who have ever left the country. Well my parents have been on cruises and to the Bahamas, but that was before you needed a passport. Many have never flown or others haven't flown recently, so I really wanted to make sure they were well equipped with information. I'm still worried that I left stuff out!
  19. Haha, so I guess I said Dollar Tree when I meant Walmart for the key card holder! Oops. Yes I just printed a label and stuck it on. I think it was the name badge size of label and it fit perfect, no cutting! Thanks everyone. I should be wrapping a lot of my projects up soon, so I will do a full planning thread in the next couple of weeks. I can't believe I am in the home stretch!!!
  20. I know this doesn't really help, but I found my dress on a Chinese website and got scared about quality and fit, by the time I found the original designer, no one within 3 hours of me could get it in in time, so I am having mine custom made. I found a lady in town through google. She has a software program that she entered my measurements into and it made a pattern. Should have the dress next week, but so far I'm happy with the process. And its custom to me!
  21. I love this idea! My only concern would be if your guests already brought a lot of carry-on stuff of their own. You may give them a heads up or make sure what you bring is small enough to stuff into their other carry-on. But excellent idea! I love anything that involves snacks! Don't forget some gum--my ears pop no matter how many times I fly. I never chew gum, but when I fly I keep some just in case!
  22. This weekend I found great flip flops on clearance at Kohls. Everyone in my family is a huge UT fan so these are great. We did get one pair of UGA flip flops for one of my friends and all the women are getting blue flower flip flops, I bought them a while ago.
