So, I'm sure you all have discussed this... but, I'm having the hardest time deciding on the attire of the groom and the two fathers (we aren't having BM or GM)... we had already told the Father's to wear tan suits and my FI wanted to wear a tux... so, that would mean tan and black... should I change what the Fathers are wearing? FI also would wear a suit but he doesn't want to wear tan... would navy look okay? I'm so lost on this.... I know most people are having the men dress more casual but my FI really wanted it to be more formal with him in a tux or something similar... help me!!!!!!

I was thinking maybe all three could wear a blue shirt underneath to tie it all together... thanks for you response... appreciate it!

We are not having Groomsmen or Bride's Maids and both of our Fathers are going to wear tan suits (I think)... My fiance wanted to wear a tux, but is open to other suggestions. My question is does tan(the father's attire) and a black tux work? My fiance is against wearing a tan suit or brown tux... but, would wear a Navy suit.... Should I change the attire of the Father's I seriously don't know what to do.....any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Teri

Very interesting... so, do you know if we need to apply for a marriage license before we are going to Mexico even if we aren't doing a legal ceremony. We will probably go to the Justice of the Peace the week after we get back. Not sure if I can get the license and the certificate of Marriage all done at the court house the same day?

In regards to the rehearsal dinner... I am having a welcome dinner the night before. We are having about 50 people (I think) and we wanted to have this for our guest. My WC has arranged for the garden area to be reserved for me and it looks like it will be around $25 per person to provide this dinner. You have the option of a sit down dinner or a buffet... I'm excited about it and it gives my future in-laws an opportunity to host the guest. Let me know if you have any questions... Finally I have some info for people

We are definitely hosting a welcome dinner (in place of a rehearsal dinner) to take place the night before the wedding. It has been so hard to get any type of confirmation on this dinner and the details have been lacking. I can't seem to get a price per head on something like this. They have told me I could have it in the garden...but that is about it. Should I be worried? What are my other options? What was the cost of your welcome dinner if you had one at The Royal? Are there other options in Playa Del Carmen that are reasonable?? Thanks so much!

Thanks everyone!!!!! This helps!!! More than anything I am trying to be sensitive to the fact that so many people want to be there but may not be able to because of financial restraints. I think this makes people feel guilty or bad that they may not be able to attend your wedding... I have seen some invites that at least have a statement about this and I really liked it - I just can't seem to find them now Thanks for all the advice!!!!!!!

Where did people do their Welcome dinner at The Royal? Did anyone do it in the garden? If so, how was it? This has been the hardest to coordinate - trying to get info to the MOG Thanks!!!!!
