Welcome, fellow Torontonian! This forum has been invaluable for me in terms of researching potential destinations. There's a category where brides (and grooms) post reviews of their weddings and I looked at that category a lot when narrowing down the options. Of course, everyone's requirements are different (Are there children coming to your wedding? Do you definitely want all-inclusive?) but you will find people on this site whose ideas mesh with your own. Good luck and happy planning!

It is soooo confusing to know what to do! I have stressed over the Save the Date/Invite dilemma for months now! We have just finished our Save the Dates and are getting ready to send them out (slightly under a year until the wedding). We've decided to send out invitations, which will likely be in September or October, as our guests have to book by November for the "early bird" rate. It's pretty early, but if it can save people a few bucks, I figure it's worth it. I think we'll do some sort of RSVP to our website at that point. I don't see the point of sending out RSVP cards in addition to the Save the Date and the Invite. Too much paper...

Hi Everyone! Great news - I've ordered my bouquet and my Save the Dates are ready! Gotta share them both! Here is my bouquet. Mine will look slightly different, as it will have white mini callas in it as well: And here is my Save the Date! My friend is a graphic designer and he helped me design it. Thanks, everyone! I would love to take all the credit myself, but a friend of mine helped with the design! In terms of printing, my fiance uses a certain printing company in the Toronto area for a lot of work-related stuff, so we're going to use them, as they will give us a really good deal. I'm also including a letter with the same colours, which will give everyone the info they need if they want to join us. We have a website, but I thought this would be a good idea for those people who are less computer savvy. On to planning the invitations....sigh...lol....

Hi there, I also started dealing with them back in January after a wedding show. I can't remember the person I was dealing with but I spoke to her multiple times and whenever I would call, she never seemed to recall who I was. I understand they are very busy, but it sort of drove me crazy. And the length of time it took for them to get quotes was also a problem for me. The TA I went with had a turnaround time of 48 hrs compared to 2 weeks with Weddings by Oceans.

Hello my fellow May 2011 brides! I'm so excited there's finally a thread for us! I just booked my date about 3 weeks ago and my Save the Dates are in the works! I'm so excited! Here's a pic of my dress (Maggie Sottero) and two hairstyles I really like. I will have to use extensions to pull off either of these looks.
