  1. Yes! So Happy I found this thread! Hopefully it will keep me motivated. Did Cardio X from the P90X program this morning and I feel like puking. lol.
  2. lol I've got my mini bump it in right now! It does take some practice and fiddling... my hair is normal thickness but any attempts by me to bump my hair on my own (with just teasing) always falls flat So the bump it has been great for me! Will definetly use on my wedding day!

Hi Volleygriff! Welcome! Quick Synopsis: We have ladies getting married at all three locations in this thread. The Iberostar Rose Hall has three resorts, side-by-side. I think I remember someone saying it takes roughly 20mins to walk the entire beach from one resort to the other. You can't go wrong with the customer service at any of these resorts, Iberostar won Traveller's Choice awards for best all-inclusive and best customer service (I think) last year. Here are some of the differences between the resorts: Beach - This is the most affordable of the three. Iberostar still lists it as a 5 star, but many travel sites list it as 3.5-4 star. The resort is little bit older, but still very nice, super clean and from what I've heard, the food is great. The rooms are pretty basic. Suites - This is the middle resort. Its only a few years old (or recently completly renovated I think) There is a nice spa at this one and the rooms are much nicer than at the Beach resort. Again, I've heard the food and customer service is fantastic. Grand - This resort is brand new, (opened Jan 2009) and its adults only. If you plan on having kids at your ceremony, I'd recommend one of the others. They are the priciest resort of the three. They offer free 24 hour room service - which I think is exclusive to the Grand. Important info: Only guests at the Grand can use the facilities at all 3 resorts, the Suites' guests can use the Beach facilities and the Beach guests are restricted to just their own resort. If you have guests staying at the Beach and your ceremony is at the Suites, you (or the guest) will have to pay for a day pass to come to the ceremony (I was quoted $50 each guest). For this reason, I am having my ceremony/reception at the Beach location, but I'll be staying at either the Suites or the Grand myself. I recommend you review the photos and reviews of all three resorts on tripadvisor.com and in the wedding reviews section of this website. In fact, there are some good links to photos in this thread. Take a look around and your decision will become clear. Also, the wedding packages are available on the Iberostar website. Happy Planning! and follow the mantra of all destination brides: Research, research, research!!

Good luck OK! That's what I've been doing. Thank you!

Hopefully she can give me preffered bouquet as the included bouquet, if not, atleast I know I have the option to upgrade and how much it'll cost. Thanks again!

I say wait til pricing comes out-...I hink with ror, once you booked you date at the resot tho--you had 3 months to confirm with your booking confirmation......so you could book your wedding now-then get the group going shortly after....research research research!!! Good luck! Thanks Marie, I'm getting married at the Iberostar in Montego Bay, and you dont need to send a confirmation of your trip to book your wedding date, or put down a deposit. I've already booked mine! And getting ready to send out my STDs! I'm giving my guests an estimate on the price to travel based on what it costs at the same time of year, this year. I hope that's a good methodology... So... sorry if this is a stupid question.. but when does the pricing come out? Around a year before?
  9. YES!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for posting this thread before you go!! I can't ask many questions of Sandy yet cause my date is so far away. But I'm kind-of insane when it comes to planning, so I'm trying to be patient... But since you are offering... I have a few questions and some photo requests if you dont mind... Questions: 1) I know the chair covers and linens are included - but do they have those bows/ties you can put on the chairs? In different colours? 2) Can you choose what flowers you put on the cake? 3) Are there power outlets and somewhere we can run a slideshow (I'd bring the projector) in Uncle Tony's? (preferably the outdoor area? I saw some other pictures that look like there might be blinds or something they can pull down to block out sunlight that might do well..) Photos: 1) Uncle Tonys - can you take photos of: - the open air dining area - the view of the beach from the dining area - the floor (lol - we are doing a professional rhumba/salsa for our bride/groom dance and want to make sure I wont fall on my a%$!) 2) Beach ceremony site - can you take photos of: - Mostly I want to see if any of those trees are near the ceremony site 3) Disco (Mango Walk) - can you take photos of: - Any seating area's of the Disco... I wanted to see if there is potential of a more 'private' area/corner that my wedding group can kind of 'claim' as ours as we head there after the dinner I think that's it! Thank you sooooooooooooooooo much!!!!! If I think of anything else before you go, I'll let ya know!!! ~Sabrina
  10. Hello Brides! I very much recommend Tara McMullen Photography her wedding packages include a free engagement shoot and her travel package is very reasonable.
  11. Wow! I can't believe he had the nerve to ask those questions!! What a moron. Good of you to post, we brides do NOT want to deal with someone like that on OUR big day.

Or did they just upgrade your won bouquet for a nominal price? Do you have any photos? Thanks for your help!!

  15. Great Job! I am so regretting not getting a crapload of flip-flops when they were only a dollar each at Old Navy.. but then, I wasnt engaged yet so.. oh well!!
  16. Great ideas ladies, I am considering Luminaries too and now I am ready to do it! Thanks!
  17. I would definitely check with the post office, or use labels with a matching purple border.
  18. Awesome! I agree both the white and the coloured ones look great! Tough to choose! I'm definitely going to use led lights in my decor, thanks for the tips!
