Do you have to use them? 2. What about other outside vendors like bands/cakes etc.? I really want the marachi band to play at the cocktail reception in the garden... 3. What restaurant do you suggest for the semi-private dinner reception? Hi Laura welcome, 1. The resort photographers are not my personal taste but here is a link to their work ::: Funever Photos ::: You do not have to use them but if you bring an outside photographer than you have to pay the outside vendor fee which is $350 if you booked after December 2. You can have any outside vendors that you would like but you have to pay the outside vendor fee for each one. They offer the mariachi band for the cocktail hour for $700 through the resort. 3. When I went on our site visit we really like Maria Maria's however after seeing Duprke's pictures Pelicano's looks like an awesome spot for a reception.

When we were doing our reception at the Royal and we had the Ultimate Luxury if its over 50 people those are the prices once it goes over 50. So for everyone person over 50 people you would have to pay that I cant remember how many people are included in the luxury.
  5. randi.renstrom - Here are the break downs of the costs: Ceremony $5 Resort Guests $10 Non-Resort Guests Cocktail Hour $10 Resort Guests $20 Non-Resort Guests Reception $30 Resort Guest $60 Non-Resort Guests and of course if there is any time in between events you also have to consider that non-resort guests have to pay for a day pass or will have to leave the resort during that time I hope that helps

Hi Lisa just sent you the stuff a bridesmaids breakfast would be wonderful there. Sorry the only packages I have are for weddings Also just so you know during the day they are a beach club and it is usually pretty crazy and loud. If you are looking for a breakfast you may want to consider La Tortuga. There food is really awesome and they have a private terrace where you can do your event. Let me know if you have more questions. Best Jess

After I expressed to him that I didn't think he was allowing enough time for me and my girls that's when I was told about the additional people. My ceremony is at 3:30 pm and he is coming at 1 pm for us to be ready by 3/3:15 pm. Thanks Girafexx! wow ya I need to double check with him on this. Samuel Luna my photographer was not going to have him come to 1:30 so the last hour of us getting ready, do you guys think that is ok, are you having your photog's for the whole time you are getting ready?

Sorry for all the questions and thank you so much for all the answers

So do you think maybe I should ask Fernando to come earlier than 11 for 6 bridesmaids and me to be ready for 2:30?
  13. Ya I know the lighting is a dilemma. We are taking pictures before hand and doing a first look as well as group shots with our wedding party. I think in the end I am going to line the aisle with candles in hurricanes from Ikea I think it will look nice as it gets darker.

  16. Hi I did a feature on my blog for a destination wedding in St. Thomas although it did not list the florist the wedding was coordinated by Wedding Planner St Thomas Wedding Planners St John VI Wedding Venues Planning they did an amazing job. You upload your image and than just copy the code into your post where it says IMG code for forums etc. I did not know this until a few months ago lol. I can't remember who but it was actually a bride from the royal that showed me how Quote: Originally Posted by ChicagoBride2011 Hi, I would just call the Mexico office directly, when we called they were extremely nice. I'm just trying to be patient during this transition period for them. Now if it's still like this 2 months from now I may have to speak up, but I think they are slowly getting their act together. Keep us posted! I agree I think things are really still a bit crazy. They are probably starting to get the brides sorted out whose weddings are coming up. However how long can the excuse of being hectic keep coming up? I would def give them a call the way ChicagoBride did and take it from there. At least than you can get the link to that website and upload all your stuff.

You really should not have to do that and this is absurd. I am sorry that you guys are having to deal with this. I thin maybe you guys should call them.

Did you bring your own makeup or use what they had? 2. Has anyone used the Real Official Photographer - Funever Photos? Did they do a good job? 3. We're at a loss as to what to include in the welcome bags. We are thinking about creating a specail wedding logo to put on visors and playing cards, and we'll have straw/raffia fans on the seats at the ceremony. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks! I'm looking forward to reading your replies! Welcome your wedding is right around the corner. I have not had my wedding yet but you came to the best possible place. Happy planning

Oh don't worry its not problem The convenience of being down town. For us is was all about location, location, location Like I said we have a lot of events that we have planned on 5th. We also have a pretty young group. We have a lot of late twenties early thirties and know people are going to want to go out at night. Also we fell in love with Kool Beach Club where we are having our reception. It is just a short walk over from the Royal and we are going to have a mariachi band walk over with us. It offered us peace of mind that our guests could walk around and not have to worry about cabs or transportation.

I know the Palace Resorts have great reputation, but by looking at the pictures it does not seem that the there is no really private place to held my reception. What are your thoughts... it will be greatly appreciated as i am trying to get those invites ready asap. Thanks, Luz Hi Luz we have gone to the Palace Playacar before. It is absolutely beautiful and I would say it is more private because it has its own beach. The public do not walk around the way they do at the Royal. However it is a cab ride away to down town. We personally like being right down town especially because we have three days of bach, bachelorette and jack and jill parties as well as our welcome dinner is at Wickys right down town. So I guess my question is if you don't mind being far away from 5th avenue and are looking for a quieter location Playacar is a perfect choice.
