  2. RunningBride24 you are so sweet! thank you so much and I happy to hear all flights are booked woooo hoooo Yes the tourist visa you will get on the plane. You do not need your birth certificates just your passports and the tourist visa as long as this si the first time you are both getting married . Which by the way ladies I know this seems silly but bring lots of pens on the plane ahah or make sure to grab them. Every time we forget and every time we ahve to wait to borrow one to fill out the tourist card. You get it right when you get off the plane.

I was wondering if anyone has used the resort photographers/is going to use them (sorry if this has already been discussed - so hard to get through all these helpful posts!)?? I've seen a lot about bringing in an outside vendor, which I've looked into a little, but budgetwise it would be nice to just go with the resort photog.....but I love everyone's amazing pics. Decisions, decisions! Has anyone heard abt the quality of their work? Thanks! Hi Megan here is a link of the resort photographers ::: Funever Photos ::: I do not know of anyone who has used them but you can see their portfolio on their site.

Any advice/your thoughts would be wonderful. oh also, does anyone know if the fridge in the room has a little freezer? Thanks! Here is an image from Lady_Di's wedding, she had it in the central garden And here are a few from our site visit As you mentioned I have only seen receptions in this area. The reason being I think because its right in the middle of the resort. In order to get to the beach, pool, lobby, restaurants all guests walk by the central garden. I don't see why it would not be a nice location though. It is very open, you could do a huppa set up. I would recommend to do it later in the evening when not as many people will be walking around. The sun stays out for a while in May so you could do a ceremony at at around 5 when everyone is at dinner or getting ready for dinner. You could have everything face the ocean rather the lobby. I think it would look beautiful and could definitely work.

The crew was hilarious, fun and entertaining. This was such a highlight for our guests, they couldn't stop talking about it...even now. Many said this was the perfect way to get to know each other before the wedding. Of the catamaran tours we researched, this was not the cheapest one we found (price is listed on the website) but we had so much fun it was worth every penny. No free t-shirts. If I remember correctly, the bride that you are referring to had the t-shirts made for the guests. If you have further questions, let me know. Jen Thanks Jen! how was the food? Did they offer steak or lobster or anything like that?
  6. I feel you girls on the name thing, same issue here and everyone calls me by my last name. I have always been called by my last name since high school so that could be weird lol. So I don't now either yet.... In other news my dress came in today!!!! my 1st fitting is August 12th and than I have 5 more after that. 4 months away!! ladies the time just flies as you know.

Oh good ya Matt is awesome and the def will have great suggestions for you. Did you originally not want a beach wedding? Don't worry everything will work out and probably even better in the end Msglave - I cannot believe they messed up on your time as well. I know it is very frustrating right now but I really do think with all the new changes things will be much better. Especially with this new on line site. They will be able to keep track of all communications. Hang in there ladies just remember everyone before us had the wedding of their dreams and we will to.

I was ready to make a deposit, but it took them forever to get back to me, I had to email them for a third time today and finally it was... oh it's not available. I have no idea what to do Maybe they can put us in the Gran Porto Gazebo? Rosieposie, looks like we'll be down there the same time. My date is May 21, 2011 That is awful I am sorry what time were you originally having the ceremony at the gazebo? How many people are you having? The gazebo at the gran is very beautiful as well but it is on the smaller side. Here is a pic,

We'd rather have it cooler at night since we're doing an outdoor reception and people will be dancing up a storm....but just curious During the day it has been really hot I would say more lie 85 - 95 but than lie you said at night it has been 60 -70 and I always wear jeans and I have worn a sweat shirt to. It is much cooler at night but perfect for an out door reception! In my opinion its the perfect weather.
  12. Hi Lisa, I have been to Deseo many times and it is part of my bach party * :: HOTEL DESEO :: I just love it there. It is a very relaxed atmosphere but it is a very trendy place. Because of that you are going to pay $10 for a very small mojito. Alux is very cool and I had the food there, it was ok Cogo Bongo is awesome but I love to dance as do all my girl friends so this is usually where I end up at the end of the night I also love this place right on 5th called Tequila Bar Tequila Barrel Sports Bar and Grill in Playa del Carmen Mexico Its a sports bar feel but its fun to just grab guacamole and chips and hang out

I want to wear my hair down in lose curls but I've been told to wear it up because it's going to be windy. I never wear my hair up though so it's going to be weird for me. I don't even know which ones would look best on me. Ya the last 4 years that we gone in November we have had perfect weather but you just never know these days it is very true. I really suggest wearing your hair up. I am in the same boat, I never wear it up. But I had to put it up the whole vacation every time we go because especially at night its very windy. I am doing a hair trial here in October before I go because I want to try 4 different looks and than decide. That way we can nail it for the actual hair trial in Mexico.

Especially if you go with a big group they usually will give you great prices on the drinks.

Secrets Capri didnt heat their pool either and it was brrrr super cold in October I now it does kind of suck that the bars don't stay open late. I mean even till 2am. And ya the not heating of the pool is a bummer. I totally agree you would think that a 5 start hotel would do these things. Msglave - Sorry we went down I was not looking for center pieces but I don't remember really seeing anything. Although I love what kendra did and the walmart and mega super store would probably have everything that you need if you did not want to lug everything down with you.

I love having 5th Ave right there with all of the nightlife, but don't want our guests to have to pay more money to go out when they already paid for an all-inclusive. I read about the 24-hour sports bar, but I don't think that's the atmosphere we're looking for. D those that went down for a site visit or past brides have any insight? Hi keng welcome and congrats on getting ready to book. Unfortunately all the bars except for the 24 hour one's close at 12am.
