  1. Thank you Rosie! Â So just found out Mexicana officially suspended all flights in definetly. I am not going to lie I am totally freaking out. My TA is away on vacation until Monday. I am so afraid we a. won't get our money back b. even if we do everyone will need to rebook flights, flights are three times more than what everyone paid back in Feb. I have 85 guests all flying Mexicana. Â Anyone is the same boat and has gotten any direction on what to do?

  6. Hi N&J, Â In order for Gran Porto guests to be able to go to the Royal they have to pay for a pass. Last I knew a 9am to 5pm it was $85 a pass. I am can't remember what the night time was but I know that all Gran Porto guests have to be gone by 11pm. Â Now of course on the day of the wedding they don't have to pay but they can only arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony. Â
  7. I agree you don't needed any added stress. Myself and brides maids are having hair and make up being done in my parents room but I have a lot of other people coming who do want their make up and hair done at Spazul. So I sent out the list with pricing plus the phone number and fax. Spazul told me everyone can call individually and pay a $10 deposit to hold their appointment and pay in full on the day. I would suggest doing that. That way you know everyone has their appointment and are responsible for their own payment.
  8. Hi ladies, Â This past Saturday I had my bridal shower. I wanted to share because I think the decor is something that would be awesome for a destination wedding. I love the lemon place card holders. It would be so easy to do. She made the place cards with scrap book paper from Joanne Fabrics.   9. Ya I know it is a lot of stuff. I think putting the note is a really good idea and don't forget also copies of the receipts. Even if you are not shipping them I would do that still.  No I am not shipping anything down. I have heard from others that usually you want do send things 8 weeks before. Just in case something happens. I have heard from some things arrived no problem and from others that the items never made it. I personally decided not to risk it. My bridesmaids are all helping me and taking one bag so it wont cost anything extra. Time to delegate some duties girl! lol  Â

  18. Ya my TA said to hang in there for now. They are going to bankrupcy court in NY on August 16th so we will see what happens. I agree, I still have three months so I can only hope this will all be fixed by than. It just has to be.
  19. Ya I feel sick to. This is def not the stress any of us need so close to our dates. Lets pray they get bailed out. I am trying to stay calm but with all my guests calling me its making the situation far worse. Â I will let you guys know what advice my TA offers.
  20. I live in Branford CT lots of us from the Northeast here   Ughhh this Mexicana thing has me totally stressed out to. Some of my guests who booked through Expedia got calls today letting them know that even though Mexicana says they are honoring all their flights so far they have been canceling them when you arrive at the airport.  They told our guests that Expedia tried to get refunds back from Mexicana but they are refusing to. So they told my guests to dispute it with their credit card companies. I don't even know what to do. Even if we all got our money back flights are three times more than what we paid in Jan/Feb last year. I have 85 guests who are all flying Mexicana.  I called my TA and I am just praying for good news. I don't understand how its not Mexicana's responsibility to transfer you to another plane and it should be at no cost to us.
