EXACTLY!!! When I get that AM workout out of the way, that "high" stays with me like all day. Then when I top that of with a PM workout I sleep so peacefully. I'm going to do my grocery shopping tonight and start fresh tomorrow. 9 inches eh?? Gotta love that! Keep up the great job. I love it when the clothes start getting loose.
  3. Go Josie!! I’m so glad to see your update in this thread. I’m so proud of your for listening to your FI and heading to the gym; there is nothing more important than to have the support at home. My hubby and I stay on one another to eat tight and exercise. And you ran 3 miles Personally I can’t stand scales because if the number is not what I want to see it bums me out but it also keeps me accountable BECAUSE I don’t want to see a bad number. *LOL* On the days when I know I’m not able to exercise like I want/need to, I make sure my eating is 100% on target. I’m sure you’ll be just fine. Keep up the great work. I plan to go to the grocery store this evening. I have several menus planned out already so the hard part is already done.
  4. I am so cotton picking crabby this morning! We had a thunderstorm at like 2am and my hubby’s dog went nuts. Running up and down the steps. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she woke up the 2 year old so I was up with her for about 20 minutes until she settled down. My 5 year old was in his room whining but the 15 year old soothed him thank goodness! Needless to say, when my alarm went off at 4:30am I did NOT get my AM workout in and now I feel like because I didn't get my workout in. I always feel like superwoman when I get a workout in before work during the week. I was in bed early and everything! I got on the scale and it stayed the same but I'm not fretting. My eating hasn't been 100% as good as it could have been so I'm just gonna have to knuckle up and work harder at this thing! My jeans are much more loose than they have been in a few months so I'm happy about that! I hope everyone else is doing well with their weight loss goals...

I started eating better in early April and picked up my activity alot more recently (doing push ups, sit ups and running) and am now down to 210. I ordered my dress a size small in February - a 14 - and one of my BM's wanted to see it on me, I warned her it wouldn't zip all the way, but pull it as far as she could. She zipped it and said "It fits." I could have cried from happiness! I'm waiting for Jessica McClintock to get a size 12 in so I can exchange it. As long as they have the dress in the company in a size, I can keep exchanging it First off, I love your siggie!! Congrats on your weight loss so farI think it's awesome that you will be able to continue exchanging the dress as you shrink. Keep up the good work. I'm sure you'll meet your weight loss goal by next May. That's the great thing about all of this...we have time on our side right now. Please keep me posted on your progress...
  6. Woo-Hoo!! Congrats on the 2lb loss, I’m sure you’re down more by now too, I only weigh once a week and tomorrow is my weigh in day. I call it weigh-in Wednesday. Sparkpeople.com is awesome. I know a few people who have used that site as a tool to help them get things on track with diet and exercise. For some reason, me and carbs just do not get along. I have tried everything under the sun to lose weight and I always end up back low carbing. As a matter of fact, part of my problem was that I was trying to “do my own thing†with my weight loss for a few months and end up gaining because of all of the carbs. I’m talking killer workouts included and everything but nothing seemed to work until I got a grip on my carb intake. Not only that, my body responds to weight loss really fast when I watch the carbs and for someone who is as impatient as I am, that’s just an added bonus. So my goal has been to get a minimum of two AM workouts a week in and 5-6 pm workouts in a week. I get the most bang for my buck when I do 2-a-days. (the am & pm workout in the same day) I’m setting really small goals of 1-2 pounds a week although I know I can lose more than that if I really wanted to. I am ready to start looking for dresses but I feel bigger than I’d like so I’m not going to look right now. No need to have a meltdown and scare my poor bride. :-)

The forum has been a great support system I'm also a MOH coming up this july and completely stressed about my weight. Trying to lose at least 0-15 pounds before then! Thanks so much! I honestly don’t feel almost 39 either. *LOL* Okay so it looks like we’re pretty much in the same boat with the height and weight. What are you doing to lose? Have you committed to anything yet? I recommitted myself almost 2.5 weeks ago and actually have lost 7.5 pounds. So I figured I’d get a ticker going and see if that keeps me motivated.
  8. Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone...

  10. Okay so my story is completely backwards but I’ll tell it anyway. I was married in 2005 weighing around 190lbs. I had our daughter in 2006 and after she was born I was 204. In 2007 I started a low-carb lifestyle and lost 53lbs. I went from a size 18/20 to a size 7/8. By the end of 2009 and up to now I have gained 13 pounds and I’m now a 9/10; just being lazy. I have started working out again and eating right and I’m ready to get into my goal size 6 hopefully putting me around 140. I’m looking at roughly 24lbs to lose and as luck would have it I’m in my friends wedding in June of 2010. I’m so excited to be standing up in her wedding but here’s the kicker…I’m also turning 40 in 2010. I am trying to be looking super HOT when I hit the big *40* I would love to have a buddy here to share this journey with me. I’m kinda tall, 5’6” and I’m sure yall are thinking that I look fine for my weight but I have this darn belly flab from the babies that I want gone! It doesn’t even have to be board flat but it needs to be gone more than it is now. Anybody out there interested??
  11. I’m new to this forum but this will be year #4 for hubby and I. I miss wedding planning something terrible! I had so much fun with it. We’ve bought our house about 6 months after the wedding. Then I was TTC crazy we got preggo around the same time. We had our daughter…after 3 boys she HAD BETTER been a girl. *LOL* We’re just settling into our everyday marriage routine at this point. My good friend is getting married June of 2010 and I’m one of her MOH so I’m happy to be back to planning something bridal. Since we married in Vegas and not many people could come we are planning a renewal here at home in 2012. My hubby wants another son but geez we have 4 kidz I’m more than happy with that! Plus, I’ll be 40 next year, I’m ready to be done having babies.
  12. Be-YOU-Tee-FUL!!! You are rocking that birdcage veil and your bouquet is breathtaking! Congrats!
  13. Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and so excited to be here. I'm one of Shan13's MOH and ready to help her with the planning of her fabulous Las Vegas wedding in 2010. As a former Vegas bride myself I WISH I knew of this site when I was planning. Everyone has such fresh ideas and the pics are just awesome! Congrats to all of you and your upcoming weddings...
