LF: Blue starfish and red hair flower
amynjoe replied to endlesslove's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
I have a blue starfish I would be willing to part with. Let me know if you are still interested. -
Hubby and I have both p90x and insanity and both are great. I went crazy before our wedding and was doing both workouts each day. I would recommend insanity to change things up a bit

Despite what the receptionist tells you, they will not put on fake eyelashes. and the eye makeup was terrible for me, not that it was too heavy, but that the eyeliner was no where near my lash line and she rimmed my entire eye with black liquid liner. I would recommend bringing your own makeup if you have an idea in mind or do it yourself. I wish I had practiced doing my own makeup, but I didn't because I thought they would do a better job. (Eli was the name of my makeup artist, I forget the name of the girl who redid it)

We had the Strawberry Passion package which covered everything we needed. I would not recommend getting your makeup done at the resort, the woman who did my makeup first made me look like a $2 hooker, needless to say, the makeup came off and was done a little less "dramatic." If your date is only on hold, it may take longer to get answers. Once your date is confirmed, they will respond a little quicker. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure if July 4th is a popular date or not, but I know it is a heavily traveled day/weekend. I would assume that it is hot as heck in Mexico in July though. We had our wedding date held in July/August and was confirmed once our travel was booked and confirmation sent to the resort (September or October). We went with the Strawberry Passion package and it was just great! Our ceremony was on the Coral beach and the reception in the Palmaris Grill. The beach was phenomenal, a little rocky in spots, but beautiful. There were not a lot of kids around. There is a kids area and we stayed far away from that

It is so frustrating that it takes so long. I tried to call a few times and can't get a hold of anyone either. I was just married at the Barcelo on Feb 25th and Karen was our coordinator at the resort (I was corresponding with Gabriela via email). She is very good at what she does and will make sure everything is the way you want it. Do not stress with slow response times, we saw about 5-6 weddings a day at this resort so they are constantly busy. You will meet with her a few days after your arrival to review ceremony sites, reception locations etc. so no need to panic. Feel free to ask questions if you need any further info! By the way, Tammy and Trisha were our photographers (they posted comments on this thread) and I would highly recommend them if you are still undecided. They are so fun to work with and take amazing photos.

Congrats Sandra and Mario!!! My wedding time and location is exactly the same as yours!! LOL What time did you start getting your hair/manicure/makeup done? Could you send me the info for the makeup artist and his rates if possible? One last thing... you mentioned that the Palmeras Grill was less than impressive, especially with the number of guests you had (we have the same), would you recommend any other locations? Thank you for your help and congrats again!

I am also a Canadian bride marrying an American groom! The immigration process is a pain, but mine has moved relatively quickly so far. Congrats and good luck to both of you!

The Classico Collection of designer engagement rings and diamond wedding rings by Verragio. Here is my ring and matching band, still haven't figured out how to post pictures on this thing yet -
Ang! I have a similar dress from Allure as well except there is a little bit of lace detail around the waist. I also thought it was too plain, but I love the way the back looks. Still thinking about removing all the buttons down the back, but haven't made a decision yet. Congrats on the dress! You look great

We are not spending money on a DJ since there are only 27 of us.....we might just go to the disco afterwards or I might set up an IPOD. I would like to have at least one dance with my Dad and FI so that's why we would need to bring an IPOD or something. Sabrina Hi Sabrina, Currently, we have the Palmeras Grill booked for our reception, we only chose this location because the nights can become pretty cool in February. I might change my mind and go with the pool side reception due to the overwhelming size of the grill. We are also doing the IPOD thing... we definitely want to dance and will probably head to the disco as well.

These videos are great!! FI and I are in week 7 of the program and people have noticed changes in both of us. The best news for me.... my dress is too big now! 114 days until wedding day... I'm hoping we don't get sidetracked with the upcoming holidays -

Anything like colored cala lilies are extra charge (they said the white ones are not though). Just send them a picture of what you want and see if they can do it. Thank you bethbride!! I'm freaking out already!
