  3. These list have TOTALLY reminded me about things. I heart you girls You'll be hearing from me after the weekend. I have my Bachelorette Party tomorrow. Woo Hoo. New York City will not know what hit them =) 17 girls on pub crawl...I can't wait
  4. Diane - I would love to be a wedding planner and not do my job all day =) Di- You are too funny with the couch business...I wish I could do that! I only have 9 and 1/2 more work days left. My last day is the 23rd and I have a day and 1/2 off coming up soon. Woo Hoo We are still trying to design our t-shirts...it's taking forever. I hate relying on artsy people when they're busy =) A friend is fixing up or programs and then we still have to put them together. UGH!! What's Done: Suits Girls dresses Table seating cards Table Numbers Music Bridal Party Gifts My wedding band OOT Bag stuff - rafts & sunscreen, still need T-shirts, lip balm, Advil (first aid kit) and then label them =) Still Need: Readers gifts (necklaces my girlfriend is making) Parents gifts PACK!!!! My last fitting is next Thursday and they are playing around with the sweetheart neckline to make it tighter in the hest area...I am keeping my fingers crossed, that is my favorite part.... I am starting to get a little anxious, but not annoyed, stressed or nervous, which is good. My FI and I keep thinking of new things when we lie down to sleep and can't remember what we said in the morning =) hehe
  5. Di - but when you get it done it fells GREAT!!!!! I hear ya on the couch thing...I couldn't get out of bed this morning...so tired recently!!
  6. Wow, wow, wow, great shots...you look amazing. I love the black outfit with the hair piece...sexy!!!
  7. I can't believe the resort can get away with charging for the chairs...that is ridiculous. Jenny - We are date twins =) Too bad I'm on the east coast of Mexico or else we could have shared the photog =) You have a lot going on, that is so exciting. We did the move in February and we still aren't 100%, but it takes time. Good luck! Sad news =( The bag from Michael's with all of the sutff I got this weekend: ribbons, rafia, whole puncher, rivet tool, and cardstock....is GONE! We can not find it anywhere in the house/car or anywhere. So sad...but I need to get over it and get back to Michael's to buy it again. UGH!!! Sorry I had to vent!!
  8. I think the lighting came from the DJ, you can rent the floors, but I am not 100% on that. I didn't know that the dinner/party was an option on the beach, but things may be changing. We are in the Chapel and then private rececption at the Italian rest.
  9. Wow...I miss a few days and it's a lot to catch up on ladies. To all new...WELCOME!!!! Karen, love the shoes idea and you are too creative...LOVE IT! and the first aid kit is great! And OMG the dress is great!!!! so exciting. Amy, awesome about Vegas you must be so excited. I want to be a guest to get the pre-bag and OOT bag. =) Very generous of you!!! We finally took out the summer clothes and started trying things on yesterday. Went to Michael's over the weekend and bought all the items to make the program fans and bag tags, and favor tags. We didn't find favors mesh bags big enough. One was too small and of course the other too big...but we'll keep looking. We started our "Do Not Play List" for the DJ and listing out the Dinner/Dance/Special Songs (Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Cake cutting) and I'll type that up =) Also finished the seating chart and thank god that was EASY....no hassle there really. I have 12 and 1/2 work days left and 3 weeks till we leave. Bachelorette Party this weekend!!!! Woo Hoo!!!

  11. BTW ...love the shades. Those will be a fun thing around the pool and every where. We bought a linen fedora that we'll bust out at the wedding. See how many people we can get pictures of in the hat =)

Thanks for all the advise everyone has posted! Oh and I am also getting my makeup done. You will have a great time with Jen! She's AWESOME. Are you using Oksana for the makeup?
  13. Funniest thing..it's 70 degrees today....YEAH!!! Gotta love the inconsistent New York weather. =) Yesterday it was 48 =) HaHa!!!!!!
  14. Welcome. There are a bunch of Iberostar brides on this forum. Just search Iberostar...and you will see 2 active threads =) Good luck!
  15. Diana - You can come and visit anytime =) just after our weddings =) lol
  16. Amy - It's funny when you have the city in your backyard, we tend to take it for granted. For instance the city doesn't have the big shopping malls, we have to go from block to block. The Manhattan Mall just doesn't compare. But when you get used it, I guess it's fun to do the opposite. I live in Long Island and do the mall/driving thing and find it to be a pain in the butt with the city, walking everywhere with bags in hand. Maybe I'm lazy =) HeHe But I love nothing more than coming up from the subway and smelling that city air and hot dog/pretzel guy on the corner. =)
  17. Autumn I completely agree. The blended linen...is just that. It's a cotton/linen blend. The more expensive linen wrinkles more, but may have less 'thread-like' appearance. Either way, FI loves it and was very happy with the quality, price, delivery time and fit. Good luck ladies.
  18. Here it is from BBB Digital Luggage Scale - Bed Bath & Beyond
  19. Amy - I don't think there would be a difference. It's just this hand-held digitial read out once you clip the luggage on and then lift. =) We also got it to take with us. Because my sister is famous for buying too much and weighing more on the trip home then going down there. =)
  20. FYI - Bed BAth and Beyond has a GREAT luggae scale. We just got it this weekend, we didn't want to go over the 50 lbs., and everyone will be using it =) Karen - I played around with one I found online, it's pretty and short (which my reader wanted) lol! Amy, the guest book is such a creative idea I totally love it and love the colors and theme. Di- Score on the luggage =) Chrissy - I hear ya on the house thing. I feel like we have put more effort into getting it livable and cleaned up that we put some wedding things on back burner. But we are in full mode now =)
  21. My sister bought my guest book, pretty traditional, the material actually matches my dress and is rouched, like my dress...so it's cute. We really wanted to do a scrapbook version guest book, but we didn't have the time and honestly all of these things keep adding up, and I just paid for the honeymoon...so the traditional one is fine =)
  22. Karen, we are doing 2 poems and the sand ceremony. The poems are pretty, if you want I can email them. But there are so many on line...the ones are picked just stuck out to me. Are you doing a unity candle instead of the sand ceremony? I guess I should ask if you are doing legal or religious? Amy - Wow you are on a roll, keep it up. Diana - 2 months!! Woo Hoo.
