  1. I haven't been to the Grand, but we are doing our rehersal dinner at the Japanese, as we have 34 people for that. It's the immediate family, wedding party and their significant others. 2 tables for Hibachi should be plenty, I think they seat 18 at each table. If you go to this site you will find the menu options. Login Good luck and thanks for sharing the file. =)
  2. Hi ladies, just checking in...it's been a while and work has been crazy and life is well...life! I hope everyone is doing well and planning is coming along. Just little reminders if you are doing anything like towels, sunscreen, rafts or lip balm...there are GREAT sales everywhere. CVS was 40% summer stuff and Christmas Tree Shoppe had a few things too!!! Happy Planning!!!!
  3. jpitts Do you mind sharing the list that you need to fill out. Just curious of the things we need to specify before we get down there. Thanks, Shannon If you want to email [email protected]
  4. Amy, let me know what you find. I am so confused with this addition of potentially using the Italian rest., it does't look like it would accomdoate 75 people (for us). But I have yet to hear from Reyna. =(

I will buy ribbon for the handle and attach the program, a one sided program (hopefully).
  6. Chicken because I think you always need a chicken option. Unforuntately for us our meny is steak or fish. I hope that accomdates everyone Good luck!!!
  7. Great review...thanks Amy~ The Tropical is NOT the Brazilian, the Brazilian is in AC and near the lobby. I think the menu is steak or fish. Standard buffet for cocktail hour and appetizers. But I would confirm that with a recent bride. Thanks again for the review!!!
  8. Beautiful all around. Your dress, the flowers, your pictures...EVERYTHING!! Congrats!!!

  10. The 1st is a holiday, I have to pay a $50 fee to have the judge come for the legal ceremony for May 1st. Primero de Mayo is the Mexican national holiday that is equivalent to the U.S. Labor Day. I hope that you are able to work throught it, we wanted the the first Saturday in May and it happened to be the 1st. It also worked with hotel and flights. The land dropped A LOT after the April break and I still wanted it to be cool in NY when we left. =) We leave April 26th. Good luck planning and WELCOME!!!!
  11. Hi all, I have an uncle with Celiac Disease (allergic to wheat), so he is on a Gluten free diet. The biggest worry is the cross-contamination at the buffets, but I am hoping that the chef's would be accommodating. I know the Japanese rest. will be okay for the rehearsal because the rice is on the different stove than the veggies and meat. But other restaurant was re concerned with. Has anyone had to deal with this and what is your suggestion. Should we come down with a translated diet restriction card or ?
  12. I love love love my dress and couldn't imagine not being in it the whole time. It's tafetta and light so it's not heavy. Even if it were I would wear it, I love it!!! Plus I want to feel like the bride the whole day and night. Be comfortable and be you, that's all anyone can tell you. Think about heat, PICTURES, comfort and cost...and there should be your answer =) Good Luck!
  13. Thank you for this review...I was wondering that for the Japanesse rest. as well (about the two tables). CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Quick question - Did the rehersal dinner count towards the guests al a carte reservations or they still had their alotted amount? Thanks, Shannon
  14. Thanks, I think that makes us a feel a little better about Reyna. Glad you had a great time!!!!!

I have never been to Cabo, let alone a Dreams property, so I really can't comment on the comparison, perhaps Trip advisor.com will help you a little bit. But my opinion, I LOVE Iberostars, I have visited them 6 times thus far. =)

  18. If you have things in writing regarding the amount of photos, that's contractual. 460 doesn't even seem like enough for a communion, let alone 3 days of a wedding celebration. Has your photog communicated anything to you regarding why, or if he will provide you more photos. Unfortunately, when we don't get to choose our negatives, it gives the photog the responsibility of this decision. I would call and write and express your dissatisfaction. Hopefully he will accommodate, as any professional should.

And yes, pass along all the good details. We look forward to your review when you get back =) ENJOY!
  20. Congrats, it's one BIG item to cross off the To Do List =)
  21. my sister-in-law just informed me, she is putting an number instead the flap of the envelope, in the event you get someone who responds yes, 2 people, (without their name)... how would you know...therefore a return label or number system might be beneficial.
