  1. Emmers - It's hard when you have family everywhere. We are lucky that my whole family is coming down and has volunteered to take stuff. My dad and FI will have their clubs as their 2nd $50 bag. Jet Blue only allows 1 checked. So we are paying for the extra. But my sister is taking her daughter and even though she'll be 13 months, she had to buy a whole seat, so that's another bag =) Mom will have 1 Sister will have 1 Niece will have 1 And I am hoping that is it. Plus the in-laws are coming the next day...so whatever we don't fit, they can take. The bulkiest thing for us will be the t-shirts. All others are small. ****We registered for a luggage scale. It's a device you hook to the top of your bag and lift and it will tell you the weight. That way no one will be over 50 lbs.**** Amy, tiger lillies are pretty...lots of pictures on the web. What color are the girls again?
  2. Amy and Leah...I have emailed you the email =) And yes Karla and Reyna are the WCs at the Del Mar/Beach =)
  3. Nicole I will send you the template. bahiabride2010 - We still haven't found the correct thickness of the card stock but we will be cutting them out. Some companies provide the perforated paper but you still need to trim the edges...so at that point why not just cut =) There is a tool from Michaels or Target that will punch the whole in the bottom with the eyelet. Amazon.com: Eyelet Pliers Fabric Tent Hole Punch Tool 100 Grommets: Kitchen & Dining After we cut all of the petals we, we'll punch silver eyelets and then maybe turquoise blue ribbon hanging from the whole... (still deciding that). If my mom, sis and MIL spend a night, we could get a lot done =) After the petal are cut and the wholes are punched...then they can have some wine ;-)
  4. Britt, If you are ordering the girls dresses I would do it soon. My salon said 5 months minimum or else its rush order and you pay extra. But if you only have one or two girls you might get lucky at a Lord n Taylor or Nordstrom’s. My mom and MIL found dresses there, which were perfect!!! Amy, It's funny that only thing I could see myself getting nervous about are the flowers. I know everything down there is beautiful, but I really want the chapel and reception, 'throwing up flowers' if you will. I think they can really make an event. That and a photographer/videographer are the things we'll splurge on =) Leah, There are so many different shades of pink, so that could be very pretty too. Light pink, hot pink, magenta... Are you thinking tiger lilies, gerbera daises, roses ~~~Ladies after the New Year, it's going to fly~~~~ I can't wait =) -Shannon
  5. Okay, So I got an email back from Karla and she said that the translation is NOT NEEDED. YEAH!!! As long as I have that in writing, I should be okay. It also has the Italian Menu for private reception and answers to other questions in the email. Amy and Leah I will forward it to you if you want =)
  6. Amy you make it sound so easy, thanks ;-) I have heard mixed reviews about the translation. Some brides said yes, some said no. I would rather be safe than sorry, but I would be annoyed if I go through the hassle. I put an email in, if I heard back before you do about your date confirmation...I'll write a nasty email ;-)
  7. Here are a few of my ideas.... Centerpieces OR Bouquets with gerber daisies and green hydrangaes
  8. Hi all, My god-daughter is our flower girl. She will be 13 months and probably will be held by my BIL when she goes down the aisle. But I want her in white with me =) Maybe a tiffany blue sash to match the girls.... Care to share your flower girls dress pics??
  9. Doing it legally at the resort?? Hi ladies, I am getting a little nervous with the things needed now. I know I have time, but I am a planner ;-) PASSPORTS TOURIST CARDS ( which every foreigner obtains on the flight down to Mexico ) BIRTH CERTIFICATES translated into Spanish by an official translator attached with an “Apostilâ€. (An official translator can be found at the yellow pages of your city) Is it necessary to have the BC's translated. And then what is the process when you get home Do you just mail in the paperwork from Mexico and submit it to our local court?

I can't wait for the review. I am nervous about the resort DJ, because I heard he doesn't speak English and I still want to be announced in and the bridal party as well. Also some of the pictures I saw for the flowers were small but still pricey. Good luck to you and I can't wait for the review =)
  11. My dad was the one who had the problem of not wearing a suit. He's old school and couldn't imagine walking me down the chapel isle in a printed linen shirt or short sleeve shirt. So the dads are wearing linen suits. GM in khaki linen pants and white linen button downs and my FI is wearing a different color linen suit with tie. Hope that helps =)
  12. Thanks Amy, I can't wait for the proofs =) We might do a holiday card through shutterfly if we like one =) I hope she gets back to you soon. Anyone a little nervous about the flowers. I just really want them everywhere and large centerpieces and the flower pictures they sent were small and eh. Thoughts
  13. I will definitely have POST wedding disorder. I just know it
  14. Hi Liane, congrats and welcome. This is the best forum ever...EVERYTHING is here!!!
  15. What a great and thorough review. Dreams brides will be happy to read it. You looked beautiful and everyone looked like they had a blast!!! Congratulations on becoming a Mrs.
  16. Do you have the international number, perhaps you can call? I am sure someone will get back to you. And yes only one per resort and I think that applies for Del Mar/Beach, Lindo/Maya and the Grand. I won't worry, I am sure you are fine =) Congrats on booking...doesn't it feel great. The airfare home on Monday for most of the guest is $240 one way on Jet Blue...Boooo, $134 down and $240 returning. I was praying for under $300. But FI's parents are doing Tuesday to Tuesday and the airfare is $277 round trip. =) Awesome for them !!!.
  17. I emailed again... I hope I hear something.... thanks ladies =)
  18. Has anyone just order pants. My FI and dad's will wear the suits, but the groomsmen will be in linen pants and tops, I wanted them to match (bottoms) so I was hoping they did separates....

Are you doing a private reception, picures, DJ and flowers at the resort? Or did you hire any outside vendors? a thanksgiving break wedding...that's awesome!
  20. I'm sorry you didn't like the Reef sandals. Those are the ones we are going with. The brown/gum fanning sandals from Reef Reef Fannings, Nick Fanning, Fanning Sandals
  21. Any advice on the blended linen and the pure linen. I would assume the pure wrinkles quickly, but the pure linen is probably light weight. Also, do they line the pants in the silk lining like the jacket? Thanks!!!
  22. Great job, and amazing picture. It's such a relief to get them done, right? That's a big item marked off the list!! Good job!
