wow thank you! I just wish the resort would allow us to bring our own guy.. its so upsetting to not really know what we are getting from their in house poeple. err.. and I love pictures!!

Hello All! Happy Planning to all of us May 2010 Brides! Frogg we have the same wedding day! exciting!! Congrats to everyone!

We sort of had the same situation.. we oppted for a TA. We put all her info in our wedding invites.. thats where our planning stops though. Group rates will be very hard for you to come by if everyone wants to leave at diff dates. We were told we would save money if we just let them pick their dates.. I think this is because if you have someone back out you could lose your group late last min.. or something like that. Our approach was this: we gave our dates when we were leaving and all our TA's info. our guests have the option of booking with her.. (some have already before the invites are even out; we havent sent them yet) or since they will have all the info they will need, they themselves have the option of looking for a better deal on line. It just makes life a lot easier for them to know the info that they need to know and let them go from there. Dont let their travels stress you out by worring about group rates. good luck to you. *sorry if thats confusing in anyway, im very tired! lol

try forever21 or bodyglove both places have web sites.. they are stores here in missouri but i know you can order on line. They have some amazing bright colored shoes.. im getting a pair too for our pictures! (cant decide on a color yet.. i love them all!)

Andi, those are amazing!! I have wanted to do the TTD session since, well, forever and using my one and only wedding gown as well. I hope our photog. is as good as yours! Congrats!

They both are very beautiful! i love Maggie her dresses are amazing! You could get away with either. I love number 2 but it needs to be about the one that makes you light up!! I have been trying on dresses for months and even though I love looking I seem to keep going back to the same one. Pick the one that makes you feel amazing!!

congrats on the 13 booked so far and the 9.6 pounds gone! exciting. Im pretty new to this stuff.. and i cant seem to even figure out how to post my picture! lol. I would like to say that we have 5 couples booked and we havent even gotten our invites out yet, and Im down 18 pds! woot woot! Planning is getting more and more exciting every day! I remember trying to decide on that one myself! Mexico is beautiful as well as Jamaica.. Mexico has a lot more preperation that you have to go through in order to get married (blood work!) and Jamaica doesnt. We chose Jamaica.. but it came down to alot more then just blood work! lol. We picked Jamaica because of the resort, it fit our guests a little better then our fav place to travel in Mexico.. which is the same resort just a lot bigger in Mexico then it is in Jamaica. We have a lot of travelers that have never been out of the country and we didnt want to lose them in a big resort! lol.... sorry if this doesnt help you any lol.

We think we might be doing this, and werent sure if we should register or not. I'd rather our guests not bring gifts to Jamaica with us, Im just worried about getting them home safely

Hello everyone. im excited to see there are more GPJ brides on here!! We are booked for May 2010 but thats about all we have gotten together! We think that our group will be pretty small.. though we dont have our invites out yet and 3 couples have already booked!! woot woot!! Happy planning everyone!! Hi all you 2010 brides to be. This is so exciting yet stressful at the sametime. (And I thought planning a dw would be easier then a wedding back home) I am very excited to have found this site though. It has helped me so much more then any tripadvisor has so far, at least. I enjoy reading everyones posts. My hubby to be and I are looking to get married the first week of May 2010. We keep bouncing back and forth from the 4th and the 5th. We are getting so frustraited with the resort location that we think we maybe taking a small trip to Jamaica in June to figure out where we would like to go... If all goes well I will figure it out while on this forum and then we wont have to go and spend our picture money in June! lol Best wishes to all of you!

My hubby to be proposed on Easter! OMG I love what he did so much that it brings tears to my eyes and i cant seem to type the right letters on the screen! lol. Ok say I have a daughter and he has a son, we are a blended family and we wouldnt have it any other way. Boy is 4 Girl is 2. It was easter morning and I was in the bathroom trying to get my hair done before church, I had spent all morning getting the kids dressed and my hubby to be's outfit picked out as well. ("should i wear this shirt honey?"... "yes love it looks nice". lol) it was my turn to get ready and I hear boy call me out, I need your help can you come here please.. so I walk out of the bathroom with a straight Iron in my hand and not quit put together yet.. as i round the corner there is my love on one knee with girl and boy beside him. boy is holding the ring, girl has sweetest smile on her face. Boy says mommy (my name here) willl you .. girl chimes in mommy put on your ring! love finishes by saying, my love will you marry US. Before i could say anything because i was so cought off guard my daughter takes the ring and starts to shove it on any finger she could get, mommy put on your ring put on your pretty ring. I look at him (love) in amazement. The kids are just going crazy. I get a chance to look at me ring and its amazing and wonderful. Our children and our family has alway been important to me and he did something amazing with how i feel. My ring not only has an amazing cushion cut diamond in it (my fav diamond shape) it has all of our birth stones in it as well on either side of the cushion cut diamond. Im so happy to have such a wonderful man to know how much family means to me and how great it is that we are one. Love him! Oh and as for the shock factor it was. I was so cought off guard, he says i didnt look excited at all just shocked kinda frozen. lol. I told him im so sorry I was so happy just didnt have processing time! haha. poor guy.

Hi everyone. I have read diff post on this forum many times but didnt ever register. Im so glad I have now. Its going to be exciting to get to know people who are having the same "issues" as I am. Congrats to all the brides to be, and past brides out there. My H2B and I are getting married in Jamaica in 2010, in the first week of May. We arnt sure of a date yet for that week, nor are we sure of what location. We really enjoyed the GP in Mexico so we are going to head out to Jamaica GP in June to check it out, I hope its as great as the one in Mexico we so much love to visit a million times over. We also would like to check out Riu Palace Tropical bay if anyone has any info on them as far as photogs and wedding sites that would be great help. We are also very intrested in doing a "trash the dress" session. Its not so much about trashing my dress, my hubby to be and I would love just to have intimate photos that portray our love for one another candidly or photojournalistic like. I love photos when you can just "feel" the emotion and warmth. Anywho Congrats again and im so glad i signed up, cant wait to read and get responses!
