I'm on medical leave and it's been 2 yrs and counting, that being said. We have no problem staying at the same resort for our honeymoon, We would prefer to do 10 days. However they are not selling 10 or even 11 day package for quebec. So we are waiting a little longer to see if the price will drop a little for a 14 day stay, which right now would cost $5200. Which I think is good for the royal section,but plus all the wedding cost, we would be looking at 8-9,000$ I hope the price goes down real soon! If I had the money, I still wouldn't spend that much money on a honeymoon.I would put it towards a house, or a morgage I already had! The FI said he would buy a new car! Lol

We all decided on doing it in town, Only because my friends are all in town, but if there weren't I think it's a great idea! You can do it just the girls and just the guys, or do it together!

I'm still wondering if I should consider buying an Ipod and filling it with songs for dancing, our first dance... I'm not having a private reception, so would I really need one? Is anyone doing this without a private reception? If so where are you planning on using it? Thanks so much!!!

I think since your doing a DW it doesn't matter in the end! everyone is there to have a good time and see you get married no matter the time, I think everyone has good points, the bad and the good, but I think this is the case for any time slot. I wanted to get married around 4-5pm but I got 2:30. I was a little stressed at first, but then realized there was nothing I could do.. so just enjoy we are going away!

I'll try not make this long. We got engaged, I ask to do a destination wedding, the FI said no he wants to celebrate with his friends and family. So we started planning this whole thing all while telling him how much it would cost.I told him if we were doing AHR we were doing it in a church and having a reception hall dinner/dance party. We put deposit down for the reception, our photographer. When he finaly realized how much it was going to cost. How our family's don't have allot of money. We would never have come even close to even for the money we would have spent.He said let's do destination! Yaaah, my dream comes true. But who's the most disapointed?! My mom. as I'm an older child, she feels she'll never get to show me off in the dress and all. So now we have planned a supper cheap reception at the legion, just so the family and friends who couldn't make will still feel included, and still see me in my dress. To sum it up, It's more for family then for the two of us, i just wanted my beach ceremony and a vacation in a tropical place!

I personaly think $4000 is alot for a vacation. I wouldn't spend that much, I never have. I also looked at this resort, but knew no one would come if I picked it. I know for a fact price usualy does get cheaper closer to the date,however you never know for how long the price will last, or when it goes down. It's something you have to check everyday. Have you decided on your resort yet? I ended up choosing Grand Palladium because there are 3 resorts all together 1 royal. and right now for April it's 1278$ Might want to keep looking if you can!
