I have crohn's disease and had to take steriod's allot of times and everytime I did I would gain 45-55lbs, which was never easy to loose after wards. Shouldn't be to hard, since your not asking allot of yourself. KimmyG, Yes it's exactly what I've decided to do. I will send a mass e-mail out saying i realized people will not know their vacation planns untill after the new year and I will give a new rsvp date, and I will def write to respect the new date! I'll let you know how that goes. I feel the same way, about taking the wedding party page off my website as well. Thing is i wouldn't have anyone else to ask lol! Don't worry though I'm sure your side of the fam is the same as our guest, they will wait closer to the time to book their vacation. When we travel for vacation we never book before 3 weeks of the date we leave, I think allot of people are like that, we will just have to sit back wait, see who will is coming a few weeks before our date.

LOL I like the motion sickness kit! that would be perfect, if I was your guest i'm sure I'd use it. it's just not fair how men loose weight so quickly, but us woman have to work 3 times as hard. Tell him to stop working out, you need to catch up! (not that I think you need to loose weight, please don't get me wrong!) Melidell ohhh I love candy so I think that's such an amazing idea to forego the OOT bags and do just mugs with candy!! Good idea!!!!

I decided to do the bags because allot of my guest, it'll be their first time to the caribbean's. I remember my first time. Allot of things I packed I didn't need, allot of things I really needed I didn't pack. I thought I'd put the things you forget to pack in the OOT bags. I am not having allot of guest either, so it's another reason why I said it would be good. My big thing I want people to have is the travel mugs. As the resorts usualy give you small plastic cups. Maybe you could just give that as a welcome give (it will def be used all week)

BTW I like the first one, which did you order?

Thanks for the thread, very very helpful!! -
Thanks!! I am very happy with the dress. You may have to get a dress from the rack in order to have enough time to alter it as well. Good luck!! if you need help search on the net let me know I would have no problem helping out, just give me an idea of what your looking for! That would be amazing. so far my guest list is 17 people lol so I wouldn't need very many!! Thank you. Your so kind!

Courtney, Are you bring centerpieces? How many people are coming from your guest list? Nonnie, If you don't mind spending some extra money, I would worry about the decor since allot is actually included in our package, I am sure Carolina will fix everything up really nice. I would only think of centerpieces for the guest table. I think 1 would be find for a normal 8 person table. I had to mention, I got my ceremony dress in today!!!! I hadn't seen it in over a year!! I posted on show us your wedding dress if anyone wants to check it out! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ml#post1006577

The FI's mother asked if we were going to do an AHR...:SIGH: Also....does anyone feel that once folks know that there will be an AHR that they try less hard to make it to the destination wedding? Good point about the parents not feeling the need to go to the DW if there is AHR but for my parents, they do not want to miss their only daughter actually getting married, the exchange of ring, first kiss ect... being a bride I'd hope it wouldn't change a parents view of the need to attend the DW, especially if they are not re new their vows at home, like we are not doing that we are just having a cold/hot buffet dinner and dancing. -
thanks so much guys for the support. and so making me laugh in this type of situation! The FI said he will make the calls. He even stayed ppl are probably waiting closer to really see whats going on, and they probably didn't reply because they didn't want to disapoint or say no when maybe in the end they could come. All I am saying is, just let us know that. I actually got an e-mail from friends that we met when we traveled, We haven't seen them in 2 years, but they are super nice ppl so I invited them. They out off all our friends and family sent me an e-mail asking if it would be ok to rsvp in the very begining of the new year. That was fine. Atleast I know!!! I love your e-mail idea lol. The FI said I wasn't allowed to send that lol Good point, it may be a little uncomfortable to make the call but the person on the other end will me even more uncomfortable!! Thanks guys so much for the support. I'll let you guys know how that goes in the end. Your parents do plan on coming right jerseykitten

weddings bring out the worst in parents. I know!! Tho I've been lucky in a sence with my in laws, they haven't been a part of anything. They just had their daughter's wedding on their house, but that was in Aug. They still have no interest's in my plans with the wedding. Which is a little disapointing, since I know how active they were for my FI sister's wedding. Suzy, LOL sorry I should have just said at home reception I don't even want to think about how much the stamps cost (I think about 60-70$) and the due date was today, I didn't get a single one back. I feel none of our friends and family have no respect for us!
-
LOL e-mails I like it. It's exactly what I am doing for the AHR. I'm handing all the invites out, and there is my phone # to rsvp, and I said only to call if your coming.

Sarah, I love your invites!!!! good pick. Isn't Vistaprint just the best!!! ebredhawk, I love the BM dress!!!! Your right any body type would pull this dress off, amazing pick!!!

I was just going to go with whatever they had to offer as part of the wedding package. The reason I made and bring my own centerpiece is because they are not included in the package, they are $60-$65 per centerpiece. That would have thrown me way over budged, even if I just bought 4. I made 1 centerpiece for $6 including vase, beads for the vase! The Laterens for me is the guest favour at dinner (I will get carolina to light them before dinner starts so it'll be a source of light as well!) DawnBuckley, Ohhh I would love to use the turquoise sash, but Milter Mrs is getting married the same day, so it might not work out. If it doesn't i will just use the orange (the guest will figure it out later it matchs the centerpieces lol) I got my ceremony dress today!!!!! I will post pictures tonight!

I have some questions. 1. What's the draw for the fake flowers? Part of the reason I choose the destination wedding was the beautiful real tropical flowers! i'm assuming they're cheaper in Mexico, is that not the case? 2. How are you making OOT bags with out knowing how many people are coming? I figured I'd start in Feb/March after the RSVP's are due. is that too late? what's the delivery time for most of you items? 3. did anyone send out a reminder email to their guests make sure they have up-to-date passports? i want to do that soon and am looking for wording... Thanks so much! Sarah Welcome Back Sarah!! 1)I didn't mind buying the BM bouquet at the resort, they were $35 and I only have 3 girls so that was fine, what got to me was the centerpieces (65$) so I said I could make them myself, thats when I realized I could also make the BM bouquet for 5$ as suppose to $35. So I was just saving allot of money. You can get all your flowers at the resort. 2)I have a few for sure people who will be coming, they are trust worthy to their word. So I have just bought a few things for that many people. And if more decide at the last min I will just have to get the rest closer to time. I ordered a few things, and I only took maybe less then a week to get in. If you start at the begining of March, you'll have plenty of time! 3)I haven't yet.I wont either because I realized most of our guest knew the rsvp were due today, no one cares, they said they will rsvp when they do (Nice huh!!) I would think it's a good idea to send a reminder, unless you have guest like me, then there is no point.

echo2_62 SuzyQ76 seriously guys. I'm off of work for medical leave.I have the time to make your flowers for you, I can even buy them here at the dollar store, called dollar rama. I'm sure we can arrange shipping them. I'm sure it woldn't cost to much. The store has amazing flowers to pick from. You would just have to let me know what flowers you want and an idea of the bouquet style.

CherryBomb, I feel your pain about the GM and BM!! I think allot of us are in the same boat. LOL I think we may have to get each of our guys to be GM for each other LOL!! I like the sounds of that very much, we are there for each other!! How about matching the GM with the color of the BM dress's? rgonzalez_83, I have a friend who assume she would be maid of honor. But I asked her to be a BM. Because she didn't get the role she wanted, she pretty much turned me down. She knew it was the MOH's duty to throw the bach party, but I told her the BM are too help out and cheap in with the MOH, all she could say was "if I have time" so I told her to forget it!!! Thankfuly because all she can say is "I don't know if I'll come, I don't know where your rsvp is" it's not the same as you, I know. I would highly suggest including your friend in the sand ceremony, she can do the reading. I think she would appreciate that so much (besides she would have more of a role then any MOH or BM!)

I really think it's pretty, but I think the canpy is $250. so I will stick with what is including in the package for this one. If you want to use the runner, why not wear sandals or flip flops for the ceremony part, then you can put your shoes on! I think I'll stick with the sash that is included (the orange) since it matchs the centerpiece, I guess you didn't get the extra cost? what do you think? will you be upgrading the ceremony? Thanks so much again!!
